Outrageous

When I look out the window it looks like it can be spring, but if you step out you can feel the cold chill in the air, and the lawns with snow still on them, and then you remember, ‘hey it’s still winter’! I think we are like half way through winter. I’m actually hoping for another blizzard is that so wrong of me? lol. I took about an hour off from writing this blog, I was looking for a food steamer, similar to one I used when I was in England, and OMGOSH it’s hard to find here in the states. I found electric ones, and the stainless steel or aluminum ones were expensive, well actually the stainless steel ones are, I won’t even talk about the shipping. And on ebay the shipping is higher than on Amazon. So I found a nice aluminum one on Amazon and got that, makes steaming vegetables much easier. I’ll post a picture of it.

10 inch 3 tier steamer

Last weekend I was bummed out the Patriots were knocked out of the playoffs, bummer, so were the Steelers, and the 49ers! So the next team I would support would be the San Diego Chargers! A California team. Boston Bruins lost against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday, then they played against San Jose chargers on Thursday and won 2-1, yay for them. They are playing today against the Lost Angeles Kings. Go Bruins!!!! I’m not feeling my best today, so I am going to go. Have a great weekend everyone.

Losing A Loved One

Losing a loved one is a difficult time to go through. I lost my mother in 2001, I lost my cat Juliet in 2005, and now I am going to suffer another loss. Although I wasn’t with him as long as his owner, I spent quite a bit of time with him, and we bonded. In one of my previous posts, I posted some photos of ‘Pupa Bear’ a beautiful Black Labrador. We just recently had a visit to the vet because he had not been himself, eating habit and all, everything started changing. Well we had the visit, and we got some really bad news, he was diagnosed with kidney failure, he is 13 years old though. He’s had a lovely long life, William’s father had him for 9 years, and William 4 years, I had him in my life for only a few months, but in those months gosh it feels like he’s been a part of my life from the time he was a puppy. He was sooo cute when he was a puppy, Bear has the best personality ever. He’s a very loving dog. During the visit to the vet, we left heart broken, knowing he has to be put down, because his kidney failure is in the 4th stage, gosh you have no idea how heart broken we are, I cry at least once a day. I can’t even get myself to ask William if he’s made the appointment. I know doing this is the best thing for Bear, but it’s always so hard to let go. I can’t be selfish though. Gosh I’m going to miss him so much!!! I love you Bear!

I wanted to change the tone of this post, it’s a sad one, and people may relate. If you’re a pet owner, and lost a pet, you will definitely relate. Anyway moving on. Last night we watched Rest Stop, I had seen it before but wanted to watch it again. I have to chuckle because there is a really violent gross scene, and I just cracked up because William kind of got startled from it. Gosh I hope he don’t get made because I’m talking about this, anyway, with William I’m laughing all the time. I am not kidding you on that either, he cracks me up so much, that at times I got tears coming out of my eyes. He’s absolutely great. Today I added a movie rating plugin, it shows up under my About page as a subpage, but it’ll keep a list of films I’ve watched. It’s not like my movie challenge, and I’m not going to add those films from the past. I’m just going to add as I go along. Go take a peek if you like Smile Oh hey did I mention the Patriots won on Sunday, yay! Unfortunately my Steelers didn’t do so well on Sunday losing to the Bengals. Next time we’ll get them! Steelers go up against San Diego Chargers on Sunday, and the New England Patriots go up against the Baltimore Ravens! Red Sox didn’t do very good last night, I couldn’t watch it all. Tonight they play again, if they win tonight they are in as the American League Wild Card winners, let’s keep our fingers crossed! I’m definitely watching tonight, cheering the Red Sox on, Gooo Red Sox!
