I Am Back, And Blogging!

Server moves are such a pain in the ass, especially if they don’t go according to plan. There are times things just happen, and it happened to me. I was so upset because at one point I thought I lost all my blog posts for the past 5 years. I blog a lot more these days, than I did when I first started.

While I was in England I didn’t blog, I actually closed my blog for awhile, because my ex didn’t like me wasting my time online? Isn’t that something? So for about a year or two it stayed closed. I kept it because I liked the name, and knew one day I would reopen it. After leaving England coming back to the US, I did reopen, and started once again to get where I was before. I do wish I would of saved my archives from before but they got lost somewhere. I guess that’s why I was so upset to almost losing my back up. Thinking ‘Oh No, not again!’, but I was so happy when my host was able to help me out.

I still have some things I need to fix, but it isn’t going to affect my blog, it shouldn’t.

I had a great President’s Day, William had a 3 day weekend, we went to his mothers for dinner, seen the kids, they are great as always. His sister Jaime and his mother Catherine are awesome, they really are, I am really glad we get along so well. They are all very sweet. When it came close to the time to get going, one of the little ones started feeling ill, so I hope she is doing better today. They made such a lovely lasange, Mmm I have to admit it is one of my favorite dishes, I guess I got lucky hey? I hope everyone had a good weekend as well, but it’s time to get back to work for a lot of people, so I hope everyone has a great week! God Bless.

Service Interruption Due To Server Move

After about 7 years with Steadfast, they sold the shared hosting accounts over to Fluid Hosting, we weren’t really aware of it, until they had already decided to sell, the accounts we’re moved with no disruption, which was great, but it was time to move hosts.

They are top notch!! So why am I moving? Well they are so expensive lol. Sorry but it’s a fact, we are all in a financial crisis. Ok I won’t exaggerate about the crisis, but inflation and all, I just can’t afford those prices. So instead I am moving to Web Hosting Buzz, I know it’s a silly name hey? But they are fantastic, I went in with 2 others and bought a reseller, I could host all my websites there, which is so awesome!! I pretty much am the one that makes the accounts and what not, they didn’t want to be bothered with that, which really is super fine with me, because I like knowing what is going on.

So this is my last post until the move is complete. The good thing I liked about my new host was that they would move over accounts, but when they realised what kind of control panel my old host had, they weren’t able to move my stuff, I was so very disappointed to be honest, I thought hosts should be able to move ‘any’ kind of cpanel. So they continued on and told me, I would have to move my stuff myself manually. So that is what I’m going to do now. I can do it with no problem, I just have to make sure I have all my files I need, especially with wordpress. so I hope the interruption won’t be more than a day or two at most, I will put up something so people know I am in the process of installing things.

Well it’s going on 7pm today, tomorrow we are planning on running around, so I won’t be able to start the move until Tuesday really, not sure how much time I’ll have online on Monday, as we are going to William’s mother to have an early dinner, and with his niece and nephews there, we always turn out staying longer lol. Who knows I may come back with a new look, and if plans change, you know where I’ll be. :) Well I better get going and try getting all my files in order, have a wonderful weekend, especially if yours is going to be a 3 day weekend. God Bless!

Gun Toting Dad Responds To Daughter Via Facebook!

I was watching the Today show this morning, and they had a segment on a father (Tommy Jordan) who replied to his daughter (Hannah’s) post on Facebook in a very shocking way ‘Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen!’ Wow go Daddy! Apparently the daughter posted some very harsh things on Facebook about the way parents treat her. Thinking that that they wouldn’t see it by blocking them. Oh boy was she wrong! The father is computer saavy, works in IT, so naturally he was going to find it, especially because a few months earlier she had done the exact same thing. It’s an 8 minute video the father made in reply to his daughters post on facebook, here is the video, see for yourself.

The response from teens is astronomical, agreeing with what the father had done, not to mention how many parents agree with what he did. Yeah it’s SHOCKING but it’s sends a message I believe she won’t ever forget, and when she is older, and mature, she is going to recall what happened that day. I completely agree with what he did. I’m sure he had tried many times, different ways, but nothing ever worked. I’d rather see him do that to her computer than to do it to her.

Some may say that ‘next time’ he’ll be putting bullets through her head, I believe that to be exaggerated, if that was the case, there would of already been signs of abuse in the home, and I really doubt there are. It’s a father that needed to send a message to his daughter in the same way she tried to send to him (excluding bullets) a message via Facebook. There are those that don’t agree with what he did, but I agree with what he did, and that is my opinion.

This video has gotten over 25 million hits, mine being one of them. I’ve listened to a lot of replies of teens agreeing with what the father did, agreeing that sure sometimes they dislike their parent’s for different reason, but no way would they disrespect them, the way she did. Basically stating she is ungrateful and spoiled. There are a few young adults I know that when they were teens, acted in a similar way, I hope they see this video, and let it be a reminder of the way they acted when they were that age. It needs to open up their eyes, and learn to be grateful for what they had/have in thier lives. And also a reminder that parent’s aren’t perfect.

In further viewing the replies to Jordan’s video, I’ve seen animated versions, and a spoof that just made me laugh, I don’t want to make light of the subject, but I did want to share this video with you, because I thought it was entertaining, and we all love to be entertained right? Enjoy.
