Well Christmas is almost upon us, the times we all love to enjoy with family and friends. Everything is always so cheery, and you believe that everyone is feeling what you are feeling, but really not everyone is. There are a lot of people that are just not happy during this time to the year. A lot of depression hits so many people, at least that’s what statistics have said. People need to learn How To Be Happy with themselves. You can actually learn how to do that, within your self, for yourself. It can be learned, I’m sure people think ‘no way, you are who you are, it is what it is’ I don’t believe that is true.
If we want to be unhappy we will be. We have to find it within ourselves to make ourselves happy. I don’t mean by winning the lottery either, I guess you can say it’s a spiritual type of thing. You don’t have to believe in God, you don’t have to belong to any one religion. This is about you, and your happiness for your entire life. The smallest things can make a person happy, like walking out your door, early in the morning. Feeling the fresh air of the morning. That alone can make one happy. You know people don’t realise what they have, until it’s taken from them. Then they appreciate life, and what it has to offer all that much more.
I’ve had a lot of hardships in my life, and I have thought about learning more about self-hypnosis and how to control myself limiting beliefs and fears. I think it won’t be easy, but I would be willing to give that a try. A lot of times I find myself not very happy. Just last night William asked me if I was okay. He said I seemed down. And I’m not sure what made me feel like of like, I don’t know sad, I wasn’t going to cry or anything, but I did feel down in a sense, and I did try to keep cherry, but inside me something was trying to take that away. Those are the things I want to change about myself.
I just recently heard of the placebo effect, from what I understand a patient is given a pill, and the results of that makes them believe they are getting better. I got this little except from wikipedia, and I wanted to share it with you. So that you can understand a little bit about it.
A placebo has been defined as “a substance or procedureβ¦ that is objectively without specific activity for the condition being treated”. Under this definition, a wide variety of things can be placebos and exhibit a placebo effect. Pharmacological substances administered through any means can act as placebos, including pills, creams, inhalants, and injections. Medical devices such as ultrasound can act as placebos. Sham surgery, sham electrodes implanted in the brain, and sham acupuncture, either with sham needles or on fake acupuncture points, have all exhibited placebo effects.
It’s really quite fascinating the different methods there are to help make a person just a little bit happier. Maybe I should take a pill, then again, now that I know what it’s for it may not work for me hehe. But for a lot of other people it can possible help them. Gosh people just really need to look at the world, and how beautiful it is, and just be happy they are breathing. Life brings it’s down believe me I know first hand, but I still go on and try to make the best of what I have, with those I have around me.
