Patience Is Really A Virtue!

March 6, 2012 by Emily 5 Comments

I can have patience at times, but other times, it have none what so ever. Is it an age thing? Or is it just all the BS we had to live with, that you get to a point when ‘Enough is enough’? I could be both in some cases. I have seen that over the years my patience has grown shorter. But I think about the things that I lose my patience with, and I think to myself, ‘My gosh, how can they be so stupid? It’s common sense!’, I know I shouldn’t think like that, but sometimes I do. I’ll be honest, it has happened many times. I try to walk away when that happens to cool down. I hate stupid people, and you know, it’s not that they are stupid, not at all, it’s that I don’t have the patience like I used to.

I hope to get a grip on that, and really to be honest, I think it happens when I’m doing a lot of stuff, and I have my mind set on something, and I get interrupted, or someone doesn’t answer my question intelligently (I know, I’m so full of myself), and then when that happens. I just lose it for a moment. I don’t do this to strangers or anything like that. It’s usually someone I know. Haha, did I scare you off now? No, I’m making myself out to be really bad and I’m not I suppose I should tell myself ‘Breathe In, Breathe Out’. That should do the work and calm me down.

How do you calm yourself down? Do you lose your patience easily?

I usually distract myself with exercise or a bit of an adventure. I’m not a patient person either.

@Rhia Roberts: You are absolutely right, spot on. Most of what we lose our patience for is trivial, and I guess that’s why I step back and take a little break to compose myself

@Jessica: Hi Jessica, thanks for at least making the effort to suggest something, glad i’m not the only one that loses her patience hehe. As for the theme, i didn’t make it, i don’t have the time nor ‘patience’ to make themes, i leave it to the professionals.

I try to put things in perspective when agitation strike…and it’s amazing how unimportant most of the things that agitate me are. Then it’s much easier to become more patient.

Sadly, I don’t have any tips to offer to increase your patience. I’m probably the most impatient person that I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I’ve been debating the wisdom of getting a wrist tattoo with the word “breathe” to remind myself to do that when I’m feeling impatient. I wish that I could give you some suggestions on how to be less impatient, but I don’t have the slightest clue.

I absolutely love this layout, it is so colorful yet simple. I honestly don’t know which is my favorite part. Have you ever thought about offering WordPress themes?
