Wow I can’t believe we are on the T for the A to Z Challenge!!! It’s getting close to ending soon, wow this month has truly flown by so quickly. I am looking forward to a lovely spring and wonderful summer, especially going to the Drive In, yeah an actual drive in, do you still go to those, I just recently discovered actual drive-ins over here in Massachusetts, so it’s a real treat. When I lived in California, we (our family) used to go to the drive-in every Friday growing up, it was such a treat I tell you.
Well speaking of drive-ins and movies, today’s film is The Hunger Games, now I haven’t seen it yet, I have the book and still haven’t read it, shame on me lol. But I really need to get on the ball and read it, as it’s not a very long book, I’m excited to read it first. Ok so moving on, what is this film about?
In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided between 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss’s young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.
I really need to get on the ball and read this book, because I’m really excited to watch the film! Anyway that’s it for me for today, have a good one everyone.

I’ve read the book and seen the movie. They’re good and the movie manages to stay close to the book.

I was really late to The Hunger Games bandwagon. I finally read the book about a week after the movie opened, and then I went to see the movie the next day. Loved them both!
Wishing you continued success with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn
