Well I certainly didn’t expect to start May with showers, those are suppose to be for April only hehe. I really didn’t expect it to rain today, then again I didn’t watch a lot of the news, so I guess that is a bit of a surprise. Currently they have been installing new roof on the entire complex, this past week it was so super loud, but I am happy they moved on to another part of the complex, so we don’t have to deal with that noise, we couldn’t even leave the house without being escorted, they said they didn’t want things falling on us which is understandable.
So this past month was full of posts of A to Z I am so glad that is over with. I just felt so pressured to have to do a post everyday, but in some ways I’m glad I did go through with it and didn’t quit before the actual challenge ended. I did discover quite a few great blogs I have to add. There were so many people participating, you just couldn’t get to them all. That would of been a chore in itself.
I was talking with a friend of mine that is going to teach herself to do her acrylic nails at home, and I thought I would give that a try. I used to go to the Day Spas in NJ salon and get my nails done regularly years ago, they always give me quality service and work fast. After talking to my friend a few times about it, I jumped on the bandwagon, and I’m so thrilled, really exited because then I can do my own nails too. I really couldn’t afford to go to a school and do the training because it’s quite expensive, so that’s why I went the route to do at home. Personally I found it better to work out my nails at home, I had suffer from fungal nail infections in the past while using different saloon services, fortunately at tophealthjournal.com/ I found an easy way to treat them.
I looked around online, came across a system I can use called Nail Trainer, at first I wasn’t sure, but did more research on it, and decided to go with it. It wasn’t very expensive, but I did have to get a lof ot my own supplies which I could find on Ebay or a few other websites like Naio.co.uk. I ordered my kit and it arrived, I did inventory, and later realised I need to buy a few more items that don’t come included in the kit, like extra nails, nail files, buffer blocks, etc
That’s pretty much what the kit comes with, they have different sizes, bigger ones obviously cost more, but I’d rather pay this than thousands of dollars to realise I don’t like doing nails hehe. So I thought it was a good investment. It includes various DVDs, my complaint them is they are not necessarily outdated, but I would think these were done in like the 80’s, I have yet to see if the information is accurate, again I didn’t go to school, so who am I to know if it’s accurate or not. But from various resources I realised that it seems pretty basic, it’s the technique that you have to master, dipping a brush into liquid and then powder isn’t that hard right? Sure it isn’t it’s just knowing how to wipe your brush so it’s not too wet or too dry. Like I said, it’s a skill you need to practice, to master.
So from time to time I will give updates on how that training is going, and post some pictures of my progress, like my very first acrylic nail woo, I’m really excited to get started, I’m still waiting on some supplies I ordered. I got some from Ebay and since they are coming from China/Hong Kong, it takes some days possible a week for it to arrive, but it’s worth the wait. Ok well I think that’s all for now. Stay safe out there if it’s raining in your area, and Happy May everyone!
