Snowmageddon 2013!

February 9, 2013 by Emily Leave a Comment

LOL, inside joke. Well Williams work friends were all talking, and one comes up with Snowmageddon, and another comes up with Snowpocalypse LOL. I found it so funny, I just had to use it for a title. Even though the blizzard of 2013 is no joke. Thousands of people without electricity and heat, it’s just horrible and scary. But the city is helping. Yesterday, the Governor declared everyone stay off the road after 4 pm, as some places experienced white out, and it was wiping around like crazy out side. We got over 20 inches of snow here, other places lots more. So I took some pictures last night, and some short clips, just for my own stash lol. But also took some today, when we went out so William can dig the truck out as well. The snow looks absolutely gorgeous! Even more beautiful when the sun is out, it wasn’t out very much today, hidden behind clouds. Let me post a few pictures.

Road to nowhere
William called this the Road to nowhere, there is actually a walking path there, but as you can see it buried.
Piled High
This was like about 5 steps from the front door, it is truly piled high.
Blizzard with flash
I wanted to catch last nights blizzard so this is OBV with flash, you can tell clearly.
Blizzard without flash
This is the same position as the last one, but without the flash, you can see the snow whipping around the air.

So there it is, in all it’s glory. There is piles of snow everywhere. I just love it, especially when its white and powdery. By tomorrow, most of it will be frozen solid, so must be careful going outside and walking, I may not brave it Lol. We’ll see how it’s going to be tomorrow. I think it’s time for me to get off line now. I’m not feeling well. I know I have a cold, but seems like in the evening I feel worse. So that is going to be for now. Until next time. Be safe out there, and thanks for stopping by! Blessings!
