So it has been a while since I posted. I have been super busy with some of my other websites, but now that I have that in order *yay* I can start blogging normally. So the last I posted about was the biggest loser, I’m not going to get into that, instead, I am going to briefly talk about my dieting, as the title suggests.
In January 2014, I decided to finally fulfill one of my New Years’ resolutions, I’m trying to do more than one but a big one that a lot of us have a hard time keeping up with is losing weight. So I dove right in. I found out what my calorie intake should be, it’s 1,660, and I have been doing wonderful. Being that the weather has been so cold, going out and walking was not an option because I have a bad knee and I don’t want to risk walking and slipping and re-injuring my knee, because that will lead to hospital time and a big fat bill.
I had already been in the hospital this year, I don’t want to go again. So I am waiting for some wonderful warm weather to start so I can start my walking, even if it is just to the laundry facility here in the complex, it’s something, then go to the Post office and CVS. I think it’s the beginning. To date I have lost 32.5 lbs, I am very proud of that because that is the most I ever lost in my life, being at the weight I am now, which I am too embarrassed to share at this moment, heh It is a slow process, as you all know, losing is harder than gaining. I’m planning to perhaps get a treadmill for walking at home. Any suggestions? Nordictrack looks good. But we’ll see.
My eating habit is much better. I’ve been eating some prepared meals, mostly at lunchtime. Everything I consume is charted in my handy MyFitnessPal app, it’s a great app, and I’m sure I have talked about it before. William usually will buy me the Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine, etc, since I only have them for lunch, and occasionally dinner they last. So when a sale comes around, you know we are buying. I don’t use reg sugar, I use substitute sugar, I’m happy with Truvia and Stevia Organic, I drink fat-free milk, I use fat-free cheese, always looking for the lowest calorie items.
William is my #1 supporter on this journey since he is here. He is incredible, and I thank the Lord I found someone like him, none of my exes were like he is, I tell you, HE IS THE ONE, for me anyway. I’m not ready to show photos of myself, again way too embarrassed, but when I felt that I see a difference, perhaps then I will. I have to say I do feel it. I use to walk up the stairs and get winded out before I reached the top, it no longer happens, I am so happy. You have no idea. This is my journey, I thank you for coming along with me. You can see what I eat, I post photos on Instagram, and you can see that on the sidebar or bottom of the page. Follow if you like, and if you are a MyFitnessPal user, add me as a friend, or contact me here on this site, I’ll look for you.
Ok, that is it for now, have a great day!
Emily
