I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. My husband is off for the next 10 days, and we are going to enjoy each other’s company, and try not to get into each other’s way, as that can happen sometimes. I try to give him some space, and let him do his thing. Our Christmas has been nice so far. Just last weekend, we went to my in-laws for our annual Christmas luncheon, it was very nice. We had a great time, and I recorded everyone playing the game, that was so much fun. I lost, but my husband won, which was very cool. I think I gained like 15 pounds, and we still are going to my sister-in-law’s on Christmas day for our Christmas luncheon.
Speaking of gaining weight. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to get back on the treadmill, which my husband bought me a couple of years ago. At that time I was on a strict diet and managed to lose 100 lbs, I hope to be able to lose weight around the stomach, and hopefully, it starts coming off in other areas. As far as diet, I am keeping away from certain things that I was indulging in, in this past year. We do eat low-carb and low or no-sugar, but to lose weight, I have to be realistic and do the walking and cut other high-calorie foods/snacks.
My first New Year’s resolution is to read my Bible daily. I want God in my life daily, and reading his word is going to be a big part, even if my husband doesn’t join me. I pray he does, but I am not going to push it on him. I started reading the Bible, I cannot honestly recall why I stopped. It saddens me that it happened, but I want and need to be on track with that. I want it with the Lord’s help, to be part of my life, for the rest of my natural life.
We plan on having our unwrapping evening on Christmas Eve, we have always opened up our gifts on Christmas morning. He wants to unwrap gifts on Christmas Eve, I am fine with that. Interesting fact, I grew up opening Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, literally Christmas Eve, after midnight, is that cool or what? We loved it, if we fell asleep they would wake us up. I don’t know why we did it like that, but that is how I grew up. It brings back so many awesome memories. Gosh, it makes me miss my mother so much. I thank the good Lord, that I have those memories to look back on.
I just stepped away to go grab a plastic plate I had outside, that I feed the cats on, I usually bring them in to wash, and reuse. I am not 100% sure if that is a wise idea, but getting disposable plates is waste, and could potentially fly away into the woods and I don’t want to go retrieve them, nor does my husband, lol. So I bought a couple of sets of plastic-like picnic plates I put their food on, and reuse after washing them with dawn dish soap.
So far only Momo has shown up today, he showed up after the power came back on. It was off for about 2 hours, I think that is the longest. I think we may consider getting a generator because you never know. I also reminded my husband to charge all the electronics that he needs to be charged, as I am doing as well. That reminds me, I need to charge my power bank.
I had to walk away again, but Lilo did show up. It is so cute what he does. He sits at the steps to the deck, and when the deck light comes on, to let me know, he is there. And since I am looking out for them to feed them. I saw his cute face. Then I went to the door and he looked at me, and I told him, I will bring you out some food.
I pray that my 3 feral boys are safe out there, including all the other cats that may have gotten out of their forever homes by accident are safe somewhere. If I had it within my power I would bring them all in, but all I can do is ask my good and great Lord to watch over them. I haven’t seen Sammy, at the rate the wind is going right now. I don’t believe he will show up, he is better off waiting until morning and hopefully, it won’t be as windy, and he can come and get a meal.
Oh my goodness, Momo just showed up on my camera, I had to go give him some food. I had him eat on the deck, as it is so windy, it scares him a little. I hope he goes to hide under the tarp, he will be safe there. My poor baby, sweet baby. If I could pick him up and bring him inside I would, but he won’t let me. I am so glad he came looking for food and shelter here. I hope he stays under that, he will be safe. I can’t tell if he would jump off the other side, I don’t think he would he can easily walk down the stairs by the door.
I told my husband as soon as Momo ate, I would come out, so I am going to go. I wish everyone a safe and wonderful Christmas and don’t forget the reason for the season. God bless us all. Thank you, Lord, for all you have given us. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Bless you for feeding the feral cats that are around your house. I brought in one last Christmas that if he was feral he was friendly and he’s my second baby boy that I have right now. I have two gingers, Mango and Waffles and I love them to bits. Hope you had a wonderful new year and just wanted to comment since I found your blog on a listing site and read your post.

Kadie, thank you so much for stopping by. I love those feral boys as if they were my own. I pray one day, I will be able to pet them, and give them that love and affection they know they want. And Bless you for bring in that precious cat and making him part of your family, you both have been blessed. I will have to pop on over to your site and see your fur babies. God Bless.
