It is hard to believe that the cold season is here, and the holidays are right around the corner. I have done a little shopping, but still have more to do. As for my weight, I think this past month has been particularly challenging for me. I sometimes have no willpower. I suppose I often reflect on my life, taking my age into account, and remind myself that I don't have much time left, so I want to enjoy certain things. I also think I would like to reach my weight goal I set for myself. This past year, I have maintained the 200 lbs, going over one or two pounds, but this month has just been really bad, and the holidays are coming, which will make it worse. In my last weigh-in, I gained 7 lbs, although 2 lbs of those are from the week before, so really it's 5 lbs. I am bummed out, and I do feel those 7 lbs already. I often pray to my good Continue Reading
Fall Is Here, Temps Dropping
It truly is here, Fall. And the temperatures are dropping little by little. Tonight it's going to be in the low 40s. I need to assemble a new heated cat house for Lilo. Speaking of Lilo (she is a semi-feral cat that lives on the deck, and maybe one day will become an inside cat), she hadn't been feeling well last night. She didn't eat much or get up waiting for me like she usually does. It really made me sad :( Today, I checked on her, didn't really want to eat. She got up, went to sit in the sun, then returned to her bed. She finally had a little to eat. I am hoping tomorrow she will feel better. I love that little girl very much. I have my inside girls, so I can't bring her in yet. I know she gets ticks now and then. I felt one under her chin/jaw today, so tomorrow I am removing it. She's semi-feral, so I hope she doesn't get too fussy. Continue Reading
I Made It To Onederland!
I am so very sorry for not updating in like 7 months. What in the world? My life is so busy, and I just don't have time. I always say, I need to make time, and I try to, and before I know it, I don't have the time. I am beginning this and keeping this browser open until I finish this post. And remember to save, in case it does not autosave. I need to go make some lunch before it gets later. I'm sharing a tree we planted in our front yard, it is looking so pretty. I had my lunch, then got distracted with other things. I am supposed to look for a few things online. I'm worried about cat food prices going up, so I want to stockpile the wet/dry food and litter. I feed my girls (Daisy and Lily) and a few ferals, so I want to have plenty. People are starting to get a little paranoid (points at self), lol. So my blog will be a slow Continue Reading
Fall, Furbabies & Good Weather
Hello. I am still alive :). I have just been super busy. It is fall, but today we are having temp of 80 F it hasn't gotten there yet, so we shall see. My husband's birthday was yesterday, I took him out to dinner and did a little shopping afterward. It is always hard to get him something because he always tells me he doesn't need anything. But I'm glad I told him to let's go to Ollie's, and he saw a fall jacket he wanted so we got that for him, it fits him great, and is using it daily. I don't recall if I talked about Oreo, a sweet, very friendly cat. I just adore him. I must have because he showed up last November. I'll post a picture of him. This sweet boy is Oreo. I just love him. Last week on Tuesday he didn't show up. He always shows up in the morning for breakfast. I got worried that he hadn't been waiting on the deck Continue Reading
New Fridges, Great Weather, Weigh-in!
We are in June, and the weather is nice, at least it is today. Sometimes it rains, but that seems to be a normal thing for my area. Great weather is wonderful, but having a fridge break down isn't. We were able to save most of the food, but we did lose a few things. I would say we went for almost a week, maybe 5 days using an ice box. We borrowed my sister-in-law's, and the only thing they forgot to put in it, was the plug, so the water wouldn't leak out. We managed though, we had to regularly drain the water outside. My husband happened to run into her at the grocery store, so that was a good thing. Her igloo was huge, and it was perfect for us to have what we needed in the kitchen. My husband ordered 2 fridges, one downstairs in the basement, for overflow groceries. We already have a deep freezer, but sometimes that gets maxed, and with Continue Reading
