Bad Weather, Renovations, Where Is Spring?

May 8, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

The weather has really been overwhelming. I know in my last post, I posted about a diet, that we just couldn't start, due to recent events. Seriously, who has time? Honestly, losing weight was the furthest thing on my mind. Some would say, you have to make time. Well, my answer to that is, you are not me, do what's good for you, and I will do the same! Anywho, this all takes a toll. The bathroom that is being renovated, well it is done, it just needs a paint job, and a couple of things here and there before but is 100% done. I have to say, I am happy to kind of have the house back. Next, on the agenda is tackling my craft room. That is going to be fun. It's not really just a craft room. It's a hobby room in which I do crafts, take haul pictures, record youtube videos, have my nail polishes, and so forth. A mish-mash of Continue Reading

Ketogenic Dieting

February 2, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy in children. The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fueling brain-function. However, if there is little carbohydrate in the diet, the liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source. An elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood, a state known as ketosis, leads to a reduction in the frequency of epileptic seizures. Almost half of children, and young people, with epilepsy who have tried some form of this diet saw the number of seizures Continue Reading

February, Organizing & Keto

February 2, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

February, the month of love, ahhh! Another excuse to go shopping lol. Last month I posted, what once. See I must do better than that. By the time the end of the day comes, I don't want to type anymore lol. Let's move on from this, shall we? What have I been up to, and how are my goals to achieve my New Years resolutions going. Organizing - I am working on it. I have moved the Christmas stuff I bought on clearance down to the basement, but I still have to go down there and find a bin for it, as I don't want it to sit in bags, that just won't do, and William wouldn't like it either. He likes organization, imagine what he feels when he comes into my craft room lol. My new Cricut is still in the box. Like I said my organizing is going slow but it is going. I have about 4 boxes of friend mail sent by one lovely friend of mine, Barbara who I Continue Reading

Happy New Year 2018

January 14, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

So what is going on with me? I leave this blog for a whole year with nothing added. My diet went down the drain, but I have plans of starting a new one, a much different one. A Keto diet. I am excited to do it, as I have said before, it is not just a diet, it is a way of life, a lifestyle change. My honey, however, is going to join in, because it will just make things hard if it is only me doing it, and he wants to lose a bit of weight he gained since he stopped smoking and drinking, wow huh? Big props to him for doing it on his own! Apart from the diet things, this blog has literally gone nowhere. And that is because I have another dedicated blog. I wanted to have just a diet blog, but it doesn't seem like that is going to work out. This domain is soon to expire, and I think I just may let it. I don't have much on here as far as Continue Reading

We Are Moving!! Yes We Are!

February 23, 2017 by Emily Leave a Comment

How exciting is that? We are finally moving. I think I have talked about it many times, then it didn't happen, but this time it is going to happen. We are locked into a house, and we are so so very excited. After looking at so many options, and getting a lot of help. Finally we settled on one of the Essex homes, which funnily enough was one of the first options we took a look at. Not saying much more, apart from that I will be very busy packing, and the first room I am currently working on is the hobby/storage/nail/crafting room lol. Just about everything is in here, so I have a big job ahead of me. I am going to try to keep up with my YouTube videos, and blogging while I do this, but as you can see it has been awhile since I posted on my blog. Hopefully, I don't make the gaps to big in between blogging. I think I will try to get a Continue Reading
