C is for Clash of the Titans #AtoZChallenge

April 3, 2012 by Emily 1 Comment

Day 3 of AtoZ Challenge, todays letter is C, for Clash of the Titans, this by far was one of my favorite films of this genre, my 2nd favorite would be Thor, but this definitely lived up to its expectations. I walked away thinking, wow I really liked that film, when I didn't think I would! Ever since 300 came out, I began to like these type of films, and they are just coming out left and right now lol. But this is by far my favorite! So what is Clash of the Titans about?? It's a 2010 remake of the 1981 film of the same name, yeah they did remake it, but much better! The story is based on the Greek myth of Perseus, "The Clash of the Titans" is set in the Greek city of Argos where a war is about to explode between man and the gods. Perseus (Sam Worthington) raised as a fisherman, but is actually a demi-god. Perseus is the son of Zeus Continue Reading

B is for Bad Teacher #AtoZChallenge

April 2, 2012 by Emily 2 Comments

Here we go with the A to Z Challenge, what am I picking for today? B is for Bad Teacher, we all need a little comedy in our life, well I found a great film, which is super funny because I just love Cameron Diaz!! Right?? She is not only adorable but funny! She plays it well in this film. So what is this film about? Gold digger Elizabeth Halsey (played by Cameron Diaz) returns to middle school, after her wealthy fiancé breaks it off. She's an awful teacher but wants to save for breast-implant surgery. A new teacher, Scott (played by Justin Timberlake), who turns out to be rich, joins the staff at the school, she perks up right away. She stops showing films and sleeping in class when she is told there's a bonus for the teacher whose class scores highest on the state exam. Her competition for Scott and the bonus is cheery and tightly Continue Reading

A is for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane #AtoZchallenge

April 1, 2012 by Emily 6 Comments

Okay so this is the beginning of the A to Z Challenge I spoke about yesterday. I had been debating about what I wanted to do as a theme, as I read around, and see what others were doing, I came back to the same idea, and that was to go with the theme idea, instead of going random. Which is how I was going to start, but then I thought I love films, and would love to share some I have watched, and look forward to watching. I did state, that I would share only the ones that I have seen, but seriously if I have not see a film with the letter U or W or whatever, I will pick one that I want to see, gives us something in the future to want to see, yay! I went with the film called 'All The Boys Love Mandy', sounds like a really sweet film just by the name hey? That's what I thought too, I thought it would turn out to be a chick flick. Well Continue Reading

Days of Truth – Day 19: What Do You Think of Religion? Or What Do You Think of Politics?

March 22, 2012 by Emily 2 Comments

I'm not even sure how to start this, I would like to touch on both subjects, but I will just get angry and go on a rant which I don't want to do. Quickly, Politics sucks, Politicians, they are all crooks one way or another, enough said. Whatever, I'm not going any further into that. As for religion, well what can I say? There are many of them. I was baptised Catholic, am I practicing? No. Why? Well I can't say I don't believe in things, because I do. When I say things I mean Heaven and Hell, it does exist, some think we are living in it, but I don't think we are. I think Hell is much much worse than this. Heaven? I have no clue, I don't try to imagine either any more. When I was a kid I did. I was a devoted Catholic, well mainly because of the parents, they took us to church did all that stuff. Then it slowed down, probably because my Continue Reading

Grab A Green Beer, Make Merry & Be Safe!

March 17, 2012 by Emily 4 Comments

Have a green beer for me today!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone, be safe out there. Oh it's another reason to have a party!! I am way past that phase where I had to go to a party for every holiday. I make my own party at home with my William!! He's part Irish so I got all the Irish I can handle at home. Woohoo, go me!! We're going to put on our green hats, pour some green beer, and maybe have Leprechaun movie marathon today haha. Sounds lame? Not really, besides we still have The Walking Dead to look forward to tomorrow, so it's all good! Early this morning we were watching the news where they were coloring the river green in Chicago, I would like to maybe one time see that for myself, it's pretty spectacular as its a very large river. Wow that is just all gorgeous and all. Not many people around, but I guess the excitement is actually seeing it being dyed, I Continue Reading
