How Fast Did 2019 Arrive?

January 24, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

I would say warp speed. I felt as if it was just Christmas, and now it is almost the end of January, wow! Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was fun and memorable. I had a nice Christmas with my honey and his family, and then here at home with just us and the girls (our cats: Lily & Daisy). We had some snowfall last week, not a lot but it did make it very cold. Today is warmer so it is melting away. However, it is super windy and it does cause me concern. The last time we had strong winds a tree fell on our deck, and we would hate for that to happen again. Oh please NO!! I decided to remove the contact form from this website because I continued to get a lot of soliciting emails, and I really don't want anything to do with them. Most of them were obvious they didn't even check the content lol. There is an email that a visitor Continue Reading

Happy New Year 2018

January 14, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

So what is going on with me? I leave this blog for a whole year with nothing added. My diet went down the drain, but I have plans of starting a new one, a much different one. A Keto diet. I am excited to do it, as I have said before, it is not just a diet, it is a way of life, a lifestyle change. My honey, however, is going to join in, because it will just make things hard if it is only me doing it, and he wants to lose a bit of weight he gained since he stopped smoking and drinking, wow huh? Big props to him for doing it on his own! Apart from the diet things, this blog has literally gone nowhere. And that is because I have another dedicated blog. I wanted to have just a diet blog, but it doesn't seem like that is going to work out. This domain is soon to expire, and I think I just may let it. I don't have much on here as far as Continue Reading

We had a White Christmas, sorta!

Christmas Wreath outside

I have always wanted to have a White Christmas, the fact we got some early snow this year I had high hopes. Christmas Eve comes along, no snow! I was bummed but thought okay next year. So when I wake up Christmas morning. My honey tells me, you might want to look outside!! I was, huh? What are you talking about? All confused right? I look through the curtain and right away I see it is SNOWING!! I thought OMG OMG we are having a White Christmas after all. I didn't take any pictures of the snow and all trust me I will bomb you with those later, but I am sharing the little white Christmas tree from Dollar Tree I had in my room, cute right :) A few days prior while shopping, it was snowing and they flakes were big. My honey says "It may not stick, the flakes are too big", he was right, it stopped snowing and yeah we had a little slush Continue Reading

It is over, finally!! The holidays anyway!

January 9, 2017 by Emily Leave a Comment

Happy New Year!! Yes, the big holidays are over, but we have another round of holidays coming up now. Valentine's and Easter, more spending? LOL Does this ever end, it seems to be a continuous circle lol. I need to do a lot less of it, though, keep the cash flow out to a minimum and the cash flow in on high gear lol. I am hoping for more sales now that I am finally getting around to listing stuff on Ebay. Speaking of spending. I was at Dollar Tree over the last 2 weeks, and just yesterday we were in there, and they already have Valentine and Easter things, some people say they gave seem St. Patrick's Day merchandise as well. Haha, dang I tell you. I did pick up a few things for Valentine's to decorate, I don't think I will for Easter because we don't have kids, so it seems pointless. Lol. And everyone knows, women love Valentine's Continue Reading

Happy New Year!

January 2, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

Wow I can't believe it's finally here 2009!! I hope you all had a great time ringing in the New Year! I did, I spent it with my sister, her partner and daughter, it was really nice. I missed my family so much! I spend Christmas with them as well, and I also visited my two other brothers, and my father, so it has been a wonderful Christmas, exactly what I wanted. Being gone 3 years and not celebrating things the way you are so use to, well let's just say I missed it, I missed everything. But on the other hand I miss my best mate Alice! Sooo much, we promised we'd spend next holidays here, withy my sister and we'd make a big thing of it, I can't wait! So much I want to show her, so many places I want to go. So there is not much to really say about New Years, except that I wish all the health, happiness, success and prosperity to all my Continue Reading
