It has been about 2 weeks and the leaves had already been changing here in Massachusetts. Yesterday was the first day of Fall. The temperatures are lower now, it is nippier early in the mornings. I have enjoyed the breezy afternoons though. I love being able to open up the windows and let airflow through the house. I think today I will change my kitchen curtains, I have had a lemon theme up all Summer and have loved it. But now it is time to change them. I have a plaid set I bought last year that I'll be putting up, that we will use through the holidays. I am going to look around and see if there is a Fall theme I can find, but if not then the plaid will do. I think it is more of a Christmas/Valentine's theme, more so than Fall. Hello September! Fall is Almost Here!
Nineteen days until the official first day of Fall! Wow, already so hard to believe. Just today I was looking out the kitchen window into the backyard and I saw a few leaves fall. I turned to William and told him, "I just saw a few leaves fall". He says "bite your tongue". Yeah, I don't think he is ready for Fall and to be quite honest, I'm not either. We are really enjoying our summer. During our Labor Day weekend, my honey as I like to refer to William spent some time doing some repairs to the house, not urgent repairs but things we wanted to fix, like our faucet in the bathroom needed replacing. We had recently had the bathroom redone, and by the way, it looks gorgeous. Back to the sink, yeah we used our old faucet and thought it was time for a new one, so a new went up. It’s Fall Ya’ll, Finally!
I was beginning to wonder when Fall would actually hit us here in Massachusetts, at least where we are. And yes it is here, it is cold and my hands are drying up faster now. I have to continuously moisturize them or they can get bad, same with my legs and arms. This is our first Fall in our new home, it is so super exciting. We get lots and lots of leaves fall in the backyard, my honey mows them up and throws them into the little forest behind us. We did see what it was like during the Winter as we got the end of Winter time here. It was very deceiving, the yard is much bigger than it looks. It is one of those illusion type things lol.
