I can't believe how fast the weekends just zoom on past us! Where is time going, why is it going faster and faster as we get older and older, I don't get it lol. Do you? If you do please tell me what's up? And what is up with the weather, it has been crazy! Raining one day, super hot the next, wow that is some craziness, at least it is out here in Massachusetts. The humidity is horrible, if you are anything like me, and you really don't like to be in humid weather, you do not want to live out here. Believe me the Fall out here is breath taking, always wanted to experience it, and now I have, but with that comes all the other wonderful seasons lol. Preparations For October?
This weekend was pretty awesome, we went to the Salem Witch Museum in Salem, MA. Really great experience, although I expected the museum to be much bigger, so I was a bit disappointed there :no: In one part of the part of them museum, we couldn't take photos which sucked badly because that is an ideal place to get photos. Why do they not allow people to take photos, what is the big deal? Can someone tell me? Apart from that, it was fun, wasn't a very long tour but it was nice. Another thing, they were doing some kind of work on the outside, so they had it covered up, you couldn't really appreciate the Gothic looking building like it does in this photo. It's really nice looking during the day, just the whole Gothic look, but at night it takes on a whole other look and feel as you can see in this photo. Continue Reading
OMG A Whole Year!
How can he stand it? I've been here in his face, for a whole year. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing. I've been here in MA since about 2 am July 1, 2009. I remember arriving late, and after William picked me up at the airport, he asked "Do you want to see Fenway Park" Hah! You don't even need to ask, I'm all over that. Well it was 2 am so there wasn't much happening there hehe. I still wanted to see it. It was amazing, I just stared out the window imagining what it would be like at it's busiest moments. Unfortunately I haven't been back, I have been to other amazing places. I have yet to visit Fenway Park. I'm a big Boston Red Sox fan, so yeah thats a place that is definitely on my to do list. Happy Cinco de Mayo
Although I am not Mexican, I did grow up around the Mexican culture, it's very similar to my Guatemalan culture. Growing up in California, I was exposed to this celebration yearly. I really enjoyed it, it had always been a very festive holiday. You would see colorful decorations all around, in school, shops, just about everywhere. There was music, dancing, costumes, parades, and a lot of tequila and beer hehe, the same in Los Angeles just on a much larger scale, specifically on Olvera Street in Los Angeles. Olvera Street get's really packed on weekends if Cinco de Mayo falls on a weekend, during the week it's a bit slower as any other major holiday. The food has always been so good. Gone Too Quick
How does the weekend just fly by so quickly, gosh were we not only on Monday but in February as well? Wow, right? Ok so now all the Valentine stuff starts to happen, and a lot of people hate this time of the year, for many reasons. I think for some because it's overrated, others because they don't have anyone special, and are jealous. A few well probably more than a few have someone, but that someone doesn't really acknowledge what this day means for their loved ones. Well, I hope they open up their eyes, and try to see it from the other's person's point of view.
