Upgrading This, Upgrade That! Ugh!!

January 20, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

For the past 2 days, I've been working on my collective site over at KM and I have been working on upgrading, I think it's an upgrade from FanUpdate to WordPress because there are no more updates being made for FanUpdate, and as much as I liked it, and as easy as it was to install. I felt I needed something that has more updates and fixes. So I decided to install WordPress. Everything is going fine, just creating my pages, as I want my site to be used all around not just the blog portion of it. Lot's of pages, but I will be 100% happier. I have some issues with the Keep In Mind script, I also upgraded that one from the old one I had, which I'm happier about. But getting it to integrate with WP is another thing, so that will take some time. I may, for the time being, make a little layout just for just my KIM, until I figure out how to Continue Reading

It’s Christmas Time!

December 24, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

Merry Christmas everyone, it's Christmas Eve day :) I hope you are all ready and don't do too much traveling and enjoy your day/evening at home. I know there are a lot of last-minute Christmas shoppers, gosh I know I have been there many times. It can be really hectic, and crazy. I remember my father getting all frustrated, and angry at times. That was not a very good experience, I use to dread when that time came because the spirit of Christmas sometimes was ruined with anger and frustration, which leads to yelling or whatever. Anyway, let's focus on good things ok? So people have different traditions for Christmas, let me tell you mine as a child. Typically for us, it would be Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, then we would watch Christmas shows on TV to entertain the children (my brothers and sister). We as the children always Continue Reading

About A Foot!

December 21, 2009 by Emily 2 Comments

That is right, we got about 12-14 inches of snow, it's my first blizzard *all happy* lol, it's as amazing as I thought it would be. Fluffy white, of course, the more you try to shovel the heavier it gets, but I had a good time! I was exhausted after, but it was fun, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. It was my first experience with this much snow, and I was just in awe over a lot of things, such as the salt they put on the ground so that the snow that falls on it, will melt it. Seriously I was like 'wow' lol. William must have thought of me as a weirdo lol. All I kept saying is "Omgosh that's so cool!" hehe. Being from California, I am not exposed to this much snow. I have to admit though, wearing regular sneakers to shovel snow is not ideal. I guess I wasn't prepared *oops* lol. So now I am on the hunt for a few items, to keep Continue Reading

Guess What!?

December 1, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

It's December! Happy December everyone, you know what else? There are three days until my birthday, woohoo I can't wait! I'm definitely going to see New Moon! Mmm just had me a nice bagel. Speaking of food, last night William made the tastiest Turkey stew, it was delicious! Perfect considering it was cold. Yesterday I got these 3 blouses I bought from ebay, and well I was not pleased one bit, my gosh you can see right through them, and they didn't appear to be like that when I saw the pictures on their page. So I am going to return them, I am biting the bullet on the return postage, but I'm not keeping something I am not happy with. I've heard some pretty tragic stories about ebay, but I still go there :D There is really a lot of great things you can get, and I'm not talking about the used products. I'm talking about the new products. Continue Reading

Early Bird, Gets The Worm!

November 23, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

Ok so my day did start pretty early, as it usually does. I'm on the laptop already starting a post. I'm really glad I did laundry this weekend, because there is a lot I'd like to do online, my stuff, plus helping out Alice with her website as well. Not to mention doing a bit of shopping online, got to take advantage of what I can online. I don't have a car at the moment, and well William uses his truck to get to work, so I have to do some of my shopping online. I have things to sort out before I even consider getting another car. I left my other car back in California, trust me it would of never made the road trip to Massachusetts. Besides it would be creepy driving cross country alone *shivers* so I'm best off like this, well sort of lol. I wasn't much for shopping online, but I have been really lucky and found some good stuff. I won't Continue Reading
