Upgrading This, Upgrade That! Ugh!!

January 20, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

For the past 2 days, I've been working on my collective site over at KM and I have been working on upgrading, I think it's an upgrade from FanUpdate to WordPress because there are no more updates being made for FanUpdate, and as much as I liked it, and as easy as it was to install. I felt I needed something that has more updates and fixes. So I decided to install WordPress. Everything is going fine, just creating my pages, as I want my site to be used all around not just the blog portion of it. Lot's of pages, but I will be 100% happier. I have some issues with the Keep In Mind script, I also upgraded that one from the old one I had, which I'm happier about. But getting it to integrate with WP is another thing, so that will take some time. I may, for the time being, make a little layout just for just my KIM, until I figure out how to Continue Reading

About A Foot!

December 21, 2009 by Emily 2 Comments

That is right, we got about 12-14 inches of snow, it's my first blizzard *all happy* lol, it's as amazing as I thought it would be. Fluffy white, of course, the more you try to shovel the heavier it gets, but I had a good time! I was exhausted after, but it was fun, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. It was my first experience with this much snow, and I was just in awe over a lot of things, such as the salt they put on the ground so that the snow that falls on it, will melt it. Seriously I was like 'wow' lol. William must have thought of me as a weirdo lol. All I kept saying is "Omgosh that's so cool!" hehe. Being from California, I am not exposed to this much snow. I have to admit though, wearing regular sneakers to shovel snow is not ideal. I guess I wasn't prepared *oops* lol. So now I am on the hunt for a few items, to keep Continue Reading

Getting Some Showers

July 24, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

Oh this is nice, a  bit of a change from the warm, but especially the humid weather. Although, according to the morning news, it looks like more is coming grr lol. Yeah I complain about it, I never liked it that much. Some people are not bothered by it, but I am. At least the weather varies, and it's not like it's an everyday thing, so that's a good thing. I texted my sister last night, my sister and her partner are heading to a 20th anniversary, wow hey! I'm so happy for her. Before moving to Massachusetts, we all were planning on going to a 49ers football game, unfortunately I won't be going, for obvious reason. I can't afford to fly back for a game :( I am happy for her though, they've always wanted to go to a 49ers game and they finally are, so Happy Anniversary, Jackie and Anna, love you guys. Ok I just realised there is Continue Reading

Muggy In July

July 17, 2009 by Emily 2 Comments

I have settled in Massachusetts, and am happy, the only thing i'm not thrilled about is the humidity, now while in California, we got humid weather there too. I'm not saying it don't. I just feel like complaining about it, and maybe it'll go away lol. Not happening hey? Lol, i didn't think so. It sucks actually. I don't think I can find one person that would be happy that it's humid. I remember when I arrived in London, back in 2005, it was muggy, and I thought, OMG I thought I got away from that lol. NO chance, everyone gets muggyness now and then lol. I learned my lesson lol. I cannot get away from it, perhaps Alaska? lol no I don't think I'll go there, there would be some people that wouldn't be too unhappy with that! I see I need to upgrade my WP, so I'll do that after I'm done with this post. I have loads of work to do, and I need Continue Reading

Packathon

June 11, 2008 by Emily 2 Comments

I'll be gone for a few days. I don't know if I'll get a chance to blog or not, but as you can see I blog every few days, even if I don't have much to blog about. Sometimes I just do it because it makes me feel better. Right, anyway for the next few days we'll be doing some heavy packing. I've been doing some off and on the last few days since Al left back to London. Al's returning tonight and we'll we will be packing non stop, as the movers will be here I believe on Friday, unless that was changed. Plus I need to go and see a few places because I don't know if I mentioned Al is renting this flat out, and I'll be returning to America at the end of the year, so it's working out quite well. So wish me luck on that, and with the packathon! On Friday we'll be staying out due to the fact there will be painters in the house. The thing about Continue Reading
