Wow this can go either way, I can talk about what gadget/person I can't live without, hmm what shall I do? Maybe touch on both? I honestly do not think, but if I had to, I would can live without my wonderful beautiful mobile phone Nexus, it's not bulky it can fit in my hand, and my bag. Opposed to a laptop which I adore but it is bulky, and I can do a lot of things on my phone that I can do on my laptop, communicate with people, which is something I have the need for, who doesn't? Photos, oh gosh yeah lots of photos, endless photo taking! I remember when I dropped my old Blackberry in water, and I swore it was not going to work, I read that dropping it in water it would destroy it, well I was so lucky, that baby held on for me until we got our upgrade. It did me good, but I needed to move on. I'm going a bit off topic here, but what I Continue Reading
I Am Back, And Blogging!
Server moves are such a pain in the ass, especially if they don't go according to plan. There are times things just happen, and it happened to me. I was so upset because at one point I thought I lost all my blog posts for the past 5 years. I blog a lot more these days, than I did when I first started. While I was in England I didn't blog, I actually closed my blog for awhile, because my ex didn't like me wasting my time online? Isn't that something? So for about a year or two it stayed closed. I kept it because I liked the name, and knew one day I would reopen it. After leaving England coming back to the US, I did reopen, and started once again to get where I was before. I do wish I would of saved my archives from before but they got lost somewhere. I guess that's why I was so upset to almost losing my back up. Thinking 'Oh No, not Continue Reading
Service Interruption Due To Server Move
After about 7 years with Steadfast, they sold the shared hosting accounts over to Fluid Hosting, we weren't really aware of it, until they had already decided to sell, the accounts we're moved with no disruption, which was great, but it was time to move hosts. They are top notch!! So why am I moving? Well they are so expensive lol. Sorry but it's a fact, we are all in a financial crisis which is why I find that at this stage opting for Pay monthly websites will be much better for the company as it is cost-effective and let's change anything as per my wish. Ok I won't exaggerate about the crisis, but inflation and all, I just can't afford those prices. So instead I am moving to Web Hosting Buzz, I know it's a silly name hey? But they are fantastic, I went in with 2 others and bought a reseller, I could host all my websites there, which is Continue Reading
Gun Toting Dad Responds To Daughter Via Facebook!
I was watching the Today show this morning, and they had a segment on a father (Tommy Jordan) who replied to his daughter (Hannah's) post on Facebook in a very shocking way 'Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen!' Wow go Daddy! Apparently the daughter posted some very harsh things on Facebook about the way parents treat her. Thinking that that they wouldn't see it by blocking them. Oh boy was she wrong! The father is computer saavy, works in IT, so naturally he was going to find it, especially because a few months earlier she had done the exact same thing. It's an 8 minute video the father made in reply to his daughters post on facebook, here is the video, see for yourself. The response from teens is astronomical, agreeing with what the father had done, not to mention how many parents agree with what he did. Yeah it's SHOCKING Continue Reading
30 Days Of Truth – Day 14: A Hero That Has Let You Down
Wow this is an interesting question, I don't really feel I have any kind of 'Hero' that I ever looked up to. So I really can't say any hero let me down. Yeah I have had people let me down tremendously in my life, but none that I would put on a pedestal as to be called a 'Hero'. There are people that I have looked up to, but never to that extent. If I had to really pick a hero, it would of been my mother (God rest her soul), my mother was a wonderful person, very loving and affectionate, she was the heart of the family. After she passed away, the family fell apart, things were never the same. It saddens me to think of that, but it's true. She was everything to everyone, we idolised her so much. Gosh I really miss her *sad moment* yeah, that would be my answer there. So really in the end, I didn't really have a Hero that has let Continue Reading
