Happy Memorial Day everyone! Well here we are, another one passing us. I want to thank all those who have served and are serving to keep us free and safe. Without you, who knows what our great nation would be like. I won't get into what can be done to make things better, this isn't the time for it. It is a time for remembering and honoring our heros. Today we had a nice BBQ just me and my awesome honey, William. It was a very nice day. During the day I was working on my mani, up until it was time to have our meal. Then we enjoyed each other's company and watched some TV. Over the weekend we went and did a bit of shopping, it was a really nice weekend, it was so nice to be able to have some sun, I am hoping for a lot more during this Spring/Summer season. Hit my 100 lbs milestone, yay!
Let me start by apologising. I had gotten so busy, and didn't have time to come and post updates, for anyone who cares *rolls eyes* LOL. This is more for me than anything or anyone else. I have been keeping up with my weight loss, as you can see from my title. I have weighed in every Saturday since I started. But it is for my own record as well. I feel horrible not updating, but I am happy I am keeping up with my diet. I have had some struggles, some failures, and some triumphs, and today, I finally, even though it is 3 months later than I had planned, I reached my 100 lb milestone, one of two I hope to reach, I WILL reach. This all has been a bit scary. When I was younger I ended up being diagnosed with an eating disorder. Review: Influenster Voxbox #YSLmascara
I got the opportunity to test out the lovely remastered YvesSaintLaurent Mascara! Let me tell you, I have tried many mascaras, but never have I tried one with a lovely scent as this one. There are some people that don't care for the scent, one youtuber went as far as to say it smelled like old lady??? Something is up with her nose, hehe, it didn't smell like that to me, it was a nice soft scent, not florally or perfumey, it was really nice, different from other mascaras. But that's not what I loved most about it. I loved the fact it really volumised my eyelashes. I tend to wear eyelash extensions more, well this is suppose to do give you that look. As thick as they got, as full as they got, you could swear I was wearing fake lashes. The formula is very nice, has not dried up, as some dry up pretty quick. The packaging is gorgeous!!! 14 years, and it feels like yesterday, I miss you Mom!
It feels like yesterday, the house feels quieter than normal, even though it isn't the house I grew up in with my mom. It is in California. 14 years since my beloved mother passed away. I feel it in the heart each year. I come across so many people in my day to day life, and see how lucky some are to still their mother. There is so much I wanted to share with my mom. I know she is looking down at me, and at times may be standing right next to me. Even though I don't know it. But having your mom with you, to do those simple things in life. A cup of coffee in the morning, or a short trip shopping, or just sitting and chatting. Those are things I wish I still had with her. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015!
So I have slacked on blogging, definitely one of my New Years resolutions. I have managed to stick to last years New Years resolution, and it will always be part of my life, or should I say, a way of life. I had a wonderful Christmas, with Williams extended family, then Christmas eve with his mom, sister and niece and nephews. Then we spent Christmas Morning, and the whole day just us 3 (William, myself and Daisy), it was really really nice. I am such a lucky person, waited all my life to find true love, and I have in William, bless his heart. So My honey, got me a treadmill, tried it out today, I am going to love using it. I just have to watch out for my little girl, and be sure she don't accidentally get in or on it, gosh that would be horrible. I think the noise frightens her off, which is good.
