How Was Your Mother’s Day?

May 10, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

My mother's day was all over the place. Not that I literally went everywhere, because it turned out we only went for a drive just to get out of the house, which was really nice by the way. There was a lot of emotions going around on Mother's Day. As some of you may know, my mother passed away close to 10 years ago, so it does kind o suck on Mother's Day, yes I shed a few tears because I miss her so much. She's in a better place, and so am I. I have to admit I wish she could see me now, and be in my life right now to share the happiness I am living. I know she is watching over me, and smiling, so I have that comfort to live with. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day and took the time to at least call your Mother even if things are bad or good, it's one phone call it won't kill you! Same goes for Father's day or someone's birthday, Continue Reading

Happy Cinco de Mayo

May 5, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

Although I am not Mexican, I did grow up around the Mexican culture, it's very similar to my Guatemalan culture. Growing up in California, I was exposed to this celebration yearly. I really enjoyed it, it had always been a very festive holiday. You would see colorful decorations all around, in school, shops, just about everywhere. There was music, dancing, costumes, parades, and a lot of tequila and beer hehe, the same in Los Angeles just on a much larger scale, specifically on Olvera Street in Los Angeles. Olvera Street get's really packed on weekends if Cinco de Mayo falls on a weekend, during the week it's a bit slower as any other major holiday. The food has always been so good. It's one of my favorites! Cinco de Mayo is celebrated all over the United States, outside of the US apart from Mexico, I don't know. I'll leave you with a Continue Reading

Happy Easter!

April 4, 2010 by Emily 1 Comment

I miss being a little girl, missing out on the egg hunts, and Easter baskets :bunny: , am I being selfish? Na, I don't think so. It was fun when it was a big Easter egg hunt. As kids our mom & dad would take us to the local park, and at this park they always had a big Easter egg hunt, it was so much fun. Kids of all ages were there, well you know within a certain age group, I guess after awhile you are too big to be doing Easter egg hunts :) Although I did enjoy watching my niece and nephews do them as well. When I was little I loved the dresses I got to wear, it made me feel like a princess :star: The kids look so adorable now when I see them all dressed up, soo very cute. I hope you all have a pleasant Easter! It's getting close to the time I will be getting a new cell phone. I'm excited, I don't know what to pick. I need to do Continue Reading

Did You Get Pranked Yet?!

April 1, 2010 by Emily 1 Comment

Happy April Fool's Day, now I would like very much to pull a prank on someone, but I don't know who, or what to do. So I have to think fast haha!! Did you get pranked yet? I haven't, I don't expect to either, I don't believe anyone has ever pranked me. Ahh well they are too scared to prank me :-D So before I go on, I wanted to wish my good friend Derek a very happy birthday!! I don't know if I would've liked to be born on April Fool's Day, he must get pranked a lot hehe. Or maybe not, I should ask him. Happy birthday hun! I think before I finish this post, I'm going to turn out getting distracted a few times. It always happens to me. I'm also trying to think of good pranks. Well had a few interruptions, but now I am having my lunch and trying to finish this, as I list another item on eBay, oh yeah I sold something last night, yay I'm Continue Reading

Aww It’s Over

March 19, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

Well nobody said St. Patrick's Day would last more than one day, but I bet in Ireland it can go on for the whole week. Do you ever wonder what it would be like in Ireland, on St. Patrick's Day, wow!! Chaos lol, no I'm kidding, a lot of drunk Irish people lol. I had fun, goofing off with William, he is a lot of fun I have to admit. Sometimes he makes me laugh to the point I have tears coming out of my eyes. Omgosh how does that happen? Lol. So now that St. Paddy's day is over, and we are closing in on Spring. I changed the theme again. Hope you like it :) Easter will be here soon. I hope I get an Easter basket *hint hint* lmao. My fathers birthday is on the 20th, he will be older haha, you thought I was going to say his age  and then my youngest brothers birthday is on the 28th, lots of birthdays in March for my family. Then in Continue Reading
