For the past 2 days, I've been working on my collective site over at KM and I have been working on upgrading, I think it's an upgrade from FanUpdate to WordPress because there are no more updates being made for FanUpdate, and as much as I liked it, and as easy as it was to install. I felt I needed something that has more updates and fixes. So I decided to install WordPress. Everything is going fine, just creating my pages, as I want my site to be used all around not just the blog portion of it. Lot's of pages, but I will be 100% happier. I have some issues with the Keep In Mind script, I also upgraded that one from the old one I had, which I'm happier about. But getting it to integrate with WP is another thing, so that will take some time. I may, for the time being, make a little layout just for just my KIM, until I figure out how to Continue Reading
Oh Dear!
Happy September everyone! The days are cooling off yay! Hopefully the days of humidity are over, or have I spoke to soon? Well if I have I'll soon find out :) I know my last post was on the 25th, but I thought about leaving that post up a bit longer, so it's out there. I really liked or should I say Steve's comment made me laugh, he commented about the sound of 'smashed cantaloupe and a broken celery stalk during their crash sequence' interesting how that is the first thing he got out of that video, he did mention that it was 'a little overblown' and you know what Steve, you are right, that is what they wanted, thank you for your comment. Texting While Driving
This morning as we sipped some coffee, we were watching the morning news, and they were talking about texting while driving and how dangerous it can be, I completely agree with that. They provided a commercial that is being shown on youtube at this time, about 4 girls driving down a road, the driver texting, well you can imagine the rest, but watch the video below so you can see what happens. It's so very sad. Keep in mind girls are not the only ones texting and doing other things such as driving and walking down the street. Warning: It is a graphic video. Happy Memorial Day!
Oh gosh I know it's been ages since I actually posted a thing. I am sorry, I am still alive and kicking. I realise my site was down as well, thats because I hadn't made the payment to my hosting, but that's sorted now and it's back up for another year yay!! So it's Memorial Day and I wanted to come on and thank all those that are in the military or some whow connected be it actually enlisted, family members or employees, I thank everyone for doing what they do. So don't forget to say a prayer for those that we have lost during their times enlisted. My nephew is in the Army so I send much love to him. Like I said this was going to be very short, as they usually are. Oh yeah my Ducks hockey team have been eliminated from a chance to go to the Stanley Cup finals boohoo, maybe next year! Another upgrade?
Ok I guess I should stop complaining because that is just going to be an on going thing now, and we should all be use to the constant upgrades. So I've been comparing Chrome and Firefox, and well I watched a video on youtube about how fast Chrome is and it really is fast in loading pages, ultimately for me is the loading speed and how much of a hog a browser can be on the computer, I've seen FF eat up so much ram it's not even funny. Chrome seems to be really light weight. I am still a big fan of Firefox and always will be, but I can't say I won't use Chrome because I will. What do you all think of it, have you given it a chance to see how it works.
