COVID, Riots, Presidential Debate, So much going on.

September 30, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

This whole year has been full of so much uncertainty. I can't think of the last time the world felt like it was all in a ball of chaos. I know things could be worse, and they were for a bit. I just hope and pray for things to get better. Everyone wants the world to return to normal, whatever normal is for each one of us. However, this does not solve anything. In my opinion. I don't see any normalcy coming anytime soon, there may be moments when it feels like it, then something else happens. At this point in time with the way people are so disrespectful of not only each other, but God and the President regardless of anyone's personal feelings he is still the President like God is God, and NO, I a not trying to put them at the same level, far from that. People are child trafficking, such a vile thing to do, and I wish I could Continue Reading

Fall Is In The Air & All-Around Us

September 23, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

It has been about 2 weeks and the leaves had already been changing here in Massachusetts. Yesterday was the first day of Fall. The temperatures are lower now, it is nippier early in the mornings. I have enjoyed the breezy afternoons though. I love being able to open up the windows and let airflow through the house. I think today I will change my kitchen curtains, I have had a lemon theme up all Summer and have loved it. But now it is time to change them. I have a plaid set I bought last year that I'll be putting up, that we will use through the holidays. I am going to look around and see if there is a Fall theme I can find, but if not then the plaid will do. I think it is more of a Christmas/Valentine's theme, more so than Fall. But I suppose it can work for Fall too. I have a leaves theme in mind over plaid. I will have to Continue Reading

Is Summer Really Over?

Summers Ending

There is 3 weeks until the first day of Fall. Are you excited? I am not that excited, I would have liked more summer, sure we have 3 weeks left. But with the whole pandemic and all, it is hard to really enjoy it as we have in the past. However, we do still do our BBQ, so we have that at least. Sometimes I think to myself and say "Thank God, I don't have children", not because I don't like children, no. Because I would hate to have them live in the world that way it is now. So much hate. Among all the other things that are going on around the country. I want to focus on happier things though. I started writing this blog post yesterday, than things came up and it had to go on the back burner as it has many times. Today is Friday the 4th of September, we are having nice weather, the sun is in out in the 80's. I fed Lilo early this Continue Reading

Busy, No Time For YouTube

July 18, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

I have found that I get too busy, and I neglect my YouTube channel. In all honesty, I find it has become a burden. I no longer enjoy it like I used to, but I keep it because I do product reviews and I like posting them on YouTube. I am considering changing my YouTube name, currently, it is PrettyThingsRock, I feel I have outgrown the 'Rock' portion of it. I like the PrettyThings part but I think I am going to change that too. When I do make the change, I am going to delete most of my outdated videos, and just leave more recent review videos up. I have a problem, well it may not really be a problem but here it is. I have watermarked all my videos with 'PrettyThingsRock' and since I plan on leaving some of my videos up the watermark will have to stay as it is embedded into the video. I know I will probably have issues with people Continue Reading

Check or No Check Is the Question!

July 13, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

The big question on many of our minds is 'Will there be another stimulus check?' I don't know, but with what I have been reading in the paper, and seeing on the news it sure looks like it may happen. COVID-19 is affecting millions of people, many of you may never hear about them, but they are out there and they need help. A lot of people are hoping there is a 2nd stimulus check with all these businesses that have permanently closed, and millions that have lost their jobs, people need money to buy food, pay bills, etc. I stumbled onto this article on Forbes about the 'Second Stimulus' check, I found it interesting and gives those in need hope, the possibility of a recurring direct stimulus check would be a godsend for many, but will it happen? We can only hope and pray. I think now more than ever we need to manage our money better. Continue Reading
