Merry Christmas, See You In 2023

December 23, 2022 by Emily 2 Comments

I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. My husband is off for the next 10 days, and we are going to enjoy each other's company, and try not to get into each other's way, as that can happen sometimes. I try to give him some space, and let him do his thing. Our Christmas has been nice so far. Just last weekend, we went to my in-laws for our annual Christmas luncheon, it was very nice. We had a great time, and I recorded everyone playing the game, that was so much fun. I lost, but my husband won, which was very cool. I think I gained like 15 pounds, and we still are going to my sister-in-law's on Christmas day for our Christmas luncheon. Speaking of gaining weight. One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back on the treadmill, which my husband bought me a couple of years ago. At that time I was on a Continue Reading

Is Being Busy An Excuse?

April 5, 2021 by Emily Leave a Comment

It is for me. I have been so busy, I have not had time to read the Bible. With it being Easter yesterday I decided to spend time reading the Bible. Did I mention I have been reading the Bible? I had to go back and glance at my last post, and yes I have talked about it. The Bible I posted is one I like reading. I love it, it is a beautiful Bible. Since my last post, I have added 4 more Bibles. After researching and visiting a few Christian websites, I learned there are various translations so I became curious. One of my favorite websites is the Blue Letter Bible, I go to it on a regular basis, and they have a smartphone app as well. There is so much content on that website, that it is the only Christian website you will ever need. However, I like to look around through other Christian websites as well. As so many have a lot to offer. I Continue Reading

The End Of The Year Is Here!

December 1, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

Can you believe how fast this year has gone? And oh my goodness so much craziness going on. We really need our nation to heal. What is happening is unacceptable. I don't like talking about politics too much, but I just want the truth to come out, whatever it may be. God help us all. On a happier note. I am starting to see houses with Christmas lights, it is a time for cheer and we all need it badly. We aren't going to put up many lights this year, but we will be putting up a Christmas tree. We cannot have a real tree because we have cats, and if you have cats you shouldn't either. Please don't put a real tree, this is very dangerous for cats and dogs. I'll leave a link to a good article, please use good judgment, we all want a happy and safe Christmas. Continue Reading

Hello November, already?

November 1, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

This year pretty much flew by pretty quick. I think everyone is looking forward to 2021, I know I am. However I think most of it will be very similar to how it is now. You can't expect change overnight, that is just not realistic. We had snowfall the day before Halloween, that is the first for me here in MA! We usually don't get it until like February, but this was very unexpected, does this mean winter will be filled with a lot of snow? This is possible. Which leads me into my next thought. The stray cats we feed, I know people say don't feed them or they will keep coming around. Well, hello that is the whole purpose I feed them, so they can come around and get something to eat. I pretty much consider them my cats, it just a matter of time before they will let me get close enough to pet and eventually pick them up. I really want Continue Reading

It Truly Is Fall In MA!

October 2, 2020 by Emily Leave a Comment

Here are a few pictures of the backyard and how full of leaves it gets. It is chilly today and I am actually wearing jeans and a 3/4 sleeve top, I have my hair down. I usually wear it up during the summer but it keeps my back warm. That is the best part of having long hair. The cat in the picture is Lilo, he is a stray I feed, love him, and would love to be his new mommy. Actually, I think he may be a she. So sometimes I call her Lilo, sometimes I call her Lila lol. I thought maybe the name Molly, but that reminds me of someone that was not so very nice to me. I can't tell if it is a boy or a girl. I can't get close enough, and the tail is down all the time LOL. About a year or two ago, we went into the backyard, made a huge pile of leaves and threw them up in the air and caught it on camera and video, that was so much fun. We Continue Reading
