Happy October!

October 1, 2008 by Emily 1 Comment

I have to apologize as I have come online a few times at the library but have not updated and thought why not, i'll go ahead and do it now since it's the 1st of October yay! I'm staying in London at the moment, I think I'm going to stay here until I leave back to California. I was staying here helping a friend out, but I was offered to stay up until my departure so thats great! I'm really excited about seeing the family again, it's been 3 years I miss them so much. I'll need to go collect my things this weekend so that I have what I need since this turned out to be a longer stay :) Which is nice and I don't mind at all. Change of scenery is always good. But while being here I haven't had any internet so I'm thankful for the local Library, it should be live probably at the end of the week or weekend *fingers crossed* I finally got my Continue Reading

Another upgrade?

September 9, 2008 by Emily 2 Comments

Ok I guess I should stop complaining because that is just going to be an on going thing now, and we should all be use to the constant upgrades. So I've been comparing Chrome and Firefox, and well I watched a video on youtube about how fast Chrome is and it really is fast in loading pages, ultimately for me is the loading speed and how much of a hog a browser can be on the computer, I've seen FF eat up so much ram it's not even funny. Chrome seems to be really light weight. I am still a big fan of Firefox and always will be, but I can't say I won't use Chrome because I will. What do you all think of it, have you given it a chance to see how it works. If you are interested I say watch this video I have to warn you it's long almost an hour and yes I did watch it all and I found out some really cool things about Chrome. So give it a watch Continue Reading

On to book 3

August 28, 2008 by Emily 1 Comment

Wow I can't believe I'm well into book 3 now, I just love the Twilight series, it's so awesome :) Eclipse started out so sad :( but I was literally shocked the way Edward asked her to marry him, my mouth dropped literally, then my eyes got watery, I'm such a softy lol. Okay I'll stop there, sorry if I ruined it for anyone just reading it. Anyway did you all catch the Olympics?? Wow it was so awesome to watch, I was watching something everyday. I loved it, America did wonderful! So did Britain and Russia! We all know China came out on top, they were brilliant! The closing ceremony was really colorful, leave it to China to be creative and colorful like they were. But now the next Olympics will be in 2012, here in England and yes I will be here yay!! I've been keeping up with Big Brother UK, and wow recently this one housemate named Darnell Continue Reading

Wow 27 Gold so far!

August 21, 2008 by Emily Leave a Comment

I'm guessing everyone is watching some part of the Olympics, I've been watching like every day off and on, and wow Team USA has 27 Gold, 28 Silver, and 28 Bronze, thats great isn't it? We are leading in the most medals won but China has won like 45 so they are doing fantastic eh? There is so much controversy going on, with competitors cheating, or not calling the penalties correctly, so much drama going on. It's still exciting to watch. I was watching the one of the Women's swimming events- wait no it was the diving event and there was a comment made by one of the announcers I don't know if anyone caught it but it was like a semi final competition and and American made it into semi finals, and the announcer made some kind of remark relating to her age, she is 30 and calling her old. My mouth dropped when I hear that. I got so mad! I was Continue Reading

I Feel Broken

July 27, 2008 by Emily 4 Comments

I really do feel broken, sometimes broken hearts do that. Anyway I won't bore you with all those dumb little details. I'll bore you with other stuff :P So over on Pixelfx.org I finally gave it a face lift, just a quicky. I put up wordpress and finally got rid of that ghastly layout I had before. I'm really glad to its really really over due. Getting to work on the tutorials will wait a bit, because recently my hosting has gone haywire and has messed up all my listings, every single one, down to the cliques. So now my job is to convert, before I even learned to covert I was in such a panic lol. I mean I did go to codegrrl forum for help since the official Enthusiast forum is there, but the replies were slow, and I was desperate to get my stuff converted as I seen no other solution to my problem. And the fact that I thought it was time, and Continue Reading
