Four Days & Counting

August 10, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

Not that it's bad, but yes 4 days until Alice returns to England, aww I'll miss her, she did a lot while being here in the US. Seen a lot of friends, went to several states. I hope one day to be able to go around Europe like that, it would be so much fun. I had a chance to go to a few places like Ireland, Spain, England, but I want to see more. Well I am being distracted again lol. It happens quite often when I am blogging. I need to run and get the laundry and then finish this post. I was just thinking how I like summers in California more than I do here in Massachusetts, they are much more humid here. But I have to deal with it as best I can. Who knows maybe I'll move back to California :) I feel I've been all over the place today, not really staying put to do stuff on eBay like I wanted. I suppose having Alice over would take up Continue Reading

Weekend Here & No Sun :(

June 11, 2010 by Emily 1 Comment

Ok so where is the sun hiding this week? I am so use to California weather, I really thought that even if I am in the east coast that the sun would be on time. Gosh its June already, hurry up and come out. I love winter don't get me wrong, but hey I like the summer too :sun: I hope it don't rain this weekend. We had some rain during the week, so I would really welcome the sun right about now. So we finally watched Wolfman, you know I was hyped up to see this film, but it was just the typical werewolf film in my eyes, although I have to say I really did like the transformation to wolf, especially in front of all the people in the asylum, haha that was wicked cool. It was my favorite parts. It did have a sad ending, but I still enjoyed it. Tonight for entertainment, hehe, I think we will see perhaps an episode or two of 24, we have been Continue Reading

Happy Cinco de Mayo

May 5, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

Although I am not Mexican, I did grow up around the Mexican culture, it's very similar to my Guatemalan culture. Growing up in California, I was exposed to this celebration yearly. I really enjoyed it, it had always been a very festive holiday. You would see colorful decorations all around, in school, shops, just about everywhere. There was music, dancing, costumes, parades, and a lot of tequila and beer hehe, the same in Los Angeles just on a much larger scale, specifically on Olvera Street in Los Angeles. Olvera Street get's really packed on weekends if Cinco de Mayo falls on a weekend, during the week it's a bit slower as any other major holiday. The food has always been so good. It's one of my favorites! Cinco de Mayo is celebrated all over the United States, outside of the US apart from Mexico, I don't know. I'll leave you with a Continue Reading

Happy Birthday Jackie!

April 11, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

Well I have been gone a few days, sorry I meant to blog sooner. So today is my sister Jackie's birthday. She is living in California, and I am missing her very much today. She went through something very serious earlier in the year. I'll spare the details, but what I will say is that she had to consult with birth defect attorneys. It was a terrible ordeal. The legal case was mostly handled by the attorneys, trying to make the situation the least stressful as possible for her. That was so understanding of them. They must deal with cases like these often, and still they don't forget to be tactful. I would of course not mention that during her birthday, or in any situation where she did not bring it up herself first. So I sent her a birthday text early in the morning and I think mine may have been the first, yay! lol. So today, we watched Continue Reading

Grouchy People

March 28, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

On occasion I get grouchy, and I let people know that I am a bit on the grouchy side. So that they don't interact with me lol. So when I ask someone are they annoyed, am I annoying them, and they say no but it's plainly obvious to me that they are! Then what am I suppose to do? Continue talking to them and allow them to get grouchier to the point they finally snap at me? FFS!! As soon as I know someone is grouchy I GTFO lol. Seriously, I don't want to be around people that are annoyed, grouchy, having a bad day, because by talking to them I feel that feeling intensifies. So, like myself, I think it's best to just be left alone for awhile, until their mood changes. My rant for the day hehe. Notice I did not include any names. Last week watched Edge of Darkness, wow that was a good film, the start was a bit of a shock, wow! lol. If you Continue Reading
