OMGoodness! 11 Days Until Christmas!
I cannot believe how fast time has passed, in some ways I am happy because it means things can get better. However, I feel like some things will stay the same. It has not felt like Christmas I am sorry to say. We did do some decorating. We did not put out lights outside, we just didn't feel like it. I was okay with that. But we did do a little decorating inside. We did not put up our traditional Christmas tree, we went with a faux pencil tree, and it looks quite cute if I don't say so myself. 11 days until Christmas, are you looking forward to it? Fall Is In The Air & All-Around Us
It has been about 2 weeks and the leaves had already been changing here in Massachusetts. Yesterday was the first day of Fall. The temperatures are lower now, it is nippier early in the mornings. I have enjoyed the breezy afternoons though. I love being able to open up the windows and let airflow through the house. I think today I will change my kitchen curtains, I have had a lemon theme up all Summer and have loved it. But now it is time to change them. I have a plaid set I bought last year that I'll be putting up, that we will use through the holidays. I am going to look around and see if there is a Fall theme I can find, but if not then the plaid will do. I think it is more of a Christmas/Valentine's theme, more so than Fall. My birthday was 6 days ago, it was really nice because I spent it with the person I wanted to spend it with, my husband. My gosh, it's so weird calling William, my husband. But at the same time, a dream come true. I may not have had a big ideal wedding, but I am happy, and that is what counts. My mother passed away quite a few years ago, so it wouldn't have been the same. I won't lie, I would have wanted a bigger wedding, it just didn't happen and well that is just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. I have the perfect husband, and I will take that over a big wedding any day. He gave me a gorgeous bracelet for my birthday! How Fast Did 2019 Arrive?
I would say warp speed. I felt as if it was just Christmas, and now it is almost the end of January, wow! Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was fun and memorable. I had a nice Christmas with my honey and his family, and then here at home with just us and the girls (our cats: Lily & Daisy). We had some snowfall last week, not a lot but it did make it very cold.
