Hello. I am still alive :). I have just been super busy. It is fall, but today we are having temp of 80 F it hasn't gotten there yet, so we shall see. My husband's birthday was yesterday, I took him out to dinner and did a little shopping afterward. It is always hard to get him something because he always tells me he doesn't need anything. But I'm glad I told him to let's go to Ollie's, and he saw a fall jacket he wanted so we got that for him, it fits him great, and is using it daily. I don't recall if I talked about Oreo, a sweet, very friendly cat. I just adore him. I must have because he showed up last November. I'll post a picture of him. This sweet boy is Oreo. I just love him. Last week on Tuesday he didn't show up. He always shows up in the morning for breakfast. I got worried that he hadn't been waiting on the deck Continue Reading
Weigh-in Catchup #3
Here we are another huge catch-up on my weight loss journey. This will be a long post. I apologize, but it's good to get it done. So let's get started. Weigh-in #35 (Sept 2, 2023) This was a good weigh-in. I weighed in at 258.5 lbs, I lost 1.7 lbs. It was a good loss. Now I just have to keep that up. We will see as we continue. Weigh-in #36 (Sept 9, 2023) From what I see, I decided to weigh in on Saturdays, so let's see if that continues. I weighed in at 259.3 lbs, I gained approximately .5 lbs. I'm not happy with it, but it is what it is. Weigh-in #37 (Sept 16, 2023) I weighed in at 256.5 lbs. I lost 2.8 lbs, which is great! An average of 2 lbs is what I would like to lose per week. Slow and steady. Weigh-in #38 (Sept 23, 2023) I weighed in at 254.5 lbs, losing 2 lbs, yay. Weigh-in #39 Continue Reading
I Know It Has Been Months

Last night we gave her 1 pill of gabapentin and about 2 hours later she was really out of it. I looked for her in the room where she usually naps/sleeps but she wasn't there. Earlier I blocked the cat door to the basement, so she wouldn't trip going down the stairs. I found her by the water fountain, apparently she needed water, I am guessing she had some. She was laying down just flat on the carpet, not loafing. I thought yeah the medicine must have hit her. So I picked her up. She usually protests when we try to pick her up, by meowing. No meow came out of her. So I gently picked her up and took her to the room. I placed her on a bag of shoes for some reason she wanted to lay on earlier, as it was down Continue Reading
