It has actually been longer than a minute lol. But you know how that goes. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve. We stayed at home, where we are happy with each other and our furbabies. We had an appointment for someone to come and install a water filtration unit, and it was cancelled due to snow, but that snow was nothing like what we had overnight. We seriously had from 12 to 18 inches of snow. We cleared the driveway this morning. Last night, my outside semi-feral furbaby, Lilo, the tortie girl. Decided she needed to go potty, and when she jumped down, she didn't realize how deep the snow was. She didn't return. I really wish she had returned. I know she could have made the jump up to her house. So she stayed under the deck, and this morning, she was gone. Nowhere to be found. I am worried sick. The snow is Continue Reading
Fall Is Here, Temps Dropping
It truly is here, Fall. And the temperatures are dropping little by little. Tonight it's going to be in the low 40s. I need to assemble a new heated cat house for Lilo. Speaking of Lilo (she is a semi-feral cat that lives on the deck, and maybe one day will become an inside cat), she hadn't been feeling well last night. She didn't eat much or get up waiting for me like she usually does. It really made me sad :( Today, I checked on her, didn't really want to eat. She got up, went to sit in the sun, then returned to her bed. She finally had a little to eat. I am hoping tomorrow she will feel better. I love that little girl very much. I have my inside girls, so I can't bring her in yet. I know she gets ticks now and then. I felt one under her chin/jaw today, so tomorrow I am removing it. She's semi-feral, so I hope she doesn't get too fussy. Continue Reading
Seriously? 6 Months, Wow!
Happy Fall, everyone! I can't believe it has been 6 months since I last posted. At least I am posting in 2025 still lol. I have been busy. Lately, it feels as if my cats keep me very busy. I am talking about my inside cats, Daisy and Lily. That is not including my outside furbabies. I had about 8 feral cats I was feeding, and loving it. But one by one, they seemed to disappear. I miss them all so much. I may have mentioned this before, as a matter of fact, I did in the last post. I went to look LOL. Lilo, my tortie girl, is still here. I think she adopted us because she has a permanent bed on the deck. In the summer, she would sleep on the deck furniture, and in the winter, she sleeps in a heated house. I am hoping that over time, she will become an inside cat and be added to the family here. The other feral is Mittens, a tuxedo boy. Continue Reading
Fall, Furbabies & Good Weather
Hello. I am still alive :). I have just been super busy. It is fall, but today we are having temp of 80 F it hasn't gotten there yet, so we shall see. My husband's birthday was yesterday, I took him out to dinner and did a little shopping afterward. It is always hard to get him something because he always tells me he doesn't need anything. But I'm glad I told him to let's go to Ollie's, and he saw a fall jacket he wanted so we got that for him, it fits him great, and is using it daily. I don't recall if I talked about Oreo, a sweet, very friendly cat. I just adore him. I must have because he showed up last November. I'll post a picture of him. This sweet boy is Oreo. I just love him. Last week on Tuesday he didn't show up. He always shows up in the morning for breakfast. I got worried that he hadn't been waiting on the deck Continue Reading
Weather, Furbabies, Gaming & More
I think many can agree the weather has just been crazy. Today, for instance, I woke up to thunder, lightning, and rain. And just yesterday, it was super sunny and hot. It was so hot I had to close the living room curtains because when the sun gets to that side of the house, it cooks the house. It is like that every year, the sun that is. The thunderstorm is another story. All through May it has been raining, and cold. It's unusually cold for that time of the year, which postponed working on the yard. Yesterday, my husband took out the bags of mulch and placed them near the areas where he is going to work. We took out the cushions for the deck furniture also, only for him to bring them in, in the morning. I popped out of bed, thinking oh my gosh, the cushions are going to be drenched. It was raining awhile so I saw it to be pointless Continue Reading
