L is for The Lake House #AtoZChallenge

April 13, 2012 by Emily 9 Comments

So today is the letter L, which will be for the film by the name The Lake House, this is one of those romance films, and I just adore Sandra Bullock, I watch just about everything she stars in. This is a really sweet film, and personally it just makes your mind wander. Can this really happen? What if it did? I think lots of people think those type of things. This film is a 2006 remake of the South Korean film by the name Il Mare, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock star as Alex Wyler and Kate Forster. What's this film about? An independent-minded doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect (Keanu Reeves). When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary Continue Reading

C is for Clash of the Titans #AtoZChallenge

April 3, 2012 by Emily 1 Comment

Day 3 of AtoZ Challenge, todays letter is C, for Clash of the Titans, this by far was one of my favorite films of this genre, my 2nd favorite would be Thor, but this definitely lived up to its expectations. I walked away thinking, wow I really liked that film, when I didn't think I would! Ever since 300 came out, I began to like these type of films, and they are just coming out left and right now lol. But this is by far my favorite! So what is Clash of the Titans about?? It's a 2010 remake of the 1981 film of the same name, yeah they did remake it, but much better! The story is based on the Greek myth of Perseus, "The Clash of the Titans" is set in the Greek city of Argos where a war is about to explode between man and the gods. Perseus (Sam Worthington) raised as a fisherman, but is actually a demi-god. Perseus is the son of Zeus Continue Reading

A is for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane #AtoZchallenge

April 1, 2012 by Emily 6 Comments

Okay so this is the beginning of the A to Z Challenge I spoke about yesterday. I had been debating about what I wanted to do as a theme, as I read around, and see what others were doing, I came back to the same idea, and that was to go with the theme idea, instead of going random. Which is how I was going to start, but then I thought I love films, and would love to share some I have watched, and look forward to watching. I did state, that I would share only the ones that I have seen, but seriously if I have not see a film with the letter U or W or whatever, I will pick one that I want to see, gives us something in the future to want to see, yay! I went with the film called 'All The Boys Love Mandy', sounds like a really sweet film just by the name hey? That's what I thought too, I thought it would turn out to be a chick flick. Well Continue Reading

How Lovely

Gosh I am really glad today has been a nice warm day all day. No rain in sight. I am so happy, I can actually have the windows open, yay! Hopefully the whole weekend will be really nice too. I think we will do a little shopping this weekend, there are a lot of bargains out there, and we are just getting use to using coupons, hehe. I think it's very beneficial to use them. As long as the deals are worth it. I'm not saying that we are 'Extreme Couponers' but hey who knows, but we do like to use coupons, so yay for us! So what is the next holiday? Memorial Day right? Yup, that means BBQ's yay! We have been invited to Jaime's house for memorial weekend, I'm not absolutely sure if we are going, we may want to do our thing, but I know William he likes seeing those cute niece and nephews of his, they run his down haha. It makes me laugh, Continue Reading

I’m Not MIA, Not Really

May 5, 2011 by Emily Leave a Comment

I know it seems like I have been missing in action. I have been here, just under the radar. Been so busy with what seems like a million things, that when I finally get around to finishing one thing, it seems my time has expired, now that sucks. I blame it on Drop Dead Diva, this week I had been catching up with the show, today I finally finished season two, and wow what an ending to that, I can't wait for the new season, and I don't have long to wait, just until June I believe is what I heard, I could be wrong, and you can correct me if I am. I love that show, it's so fresh and quirky, makes me laugh and cry, and believe in true love. Ahh love! *thinks about William* hehe I have so much internet stuff to do, I am seriously considering closing down pixelfx.org, I know I said I wouldn't be seriously I don't want to keep paying for it, if Continue Reading
