Weigh-in #01 – Here We Go Again!

Yeah, that is correct. Here I go again, trying to lose weight. I did it before, and things just went wrong. I am not going to go in-depth about that, as I have already posted a blog about it when it happened. If I can dig up the blog post, I will add a link in this post leading you to that post. I finally got tired of being overweight, it happens to us all, but for me, I just had enough of it. I am tired of it. I don't feel well, well I do feel well, but my knees are bothering me. I am 5'1 small framed but I am way overweight, into the obese category sad to say I am 58 and I don't want to die because I am overweight. I am being brutally honest with you all here. Happy New Year’s Everyone!

We are into the new year now, and I am trying to stick to my new year's resolutions. Did I mention what they were? My first one is to read the Bible daily, and guess what? I haven't done that, yeah I disappointed myself. I do listen to daily prayer, but it is not the same, so that is going to have to change. Why is it I can stick to a diet, but not read the Bible every day? I have to, I need to do this. Dear Lord, please encourage and inspire me to read your word, I need you in my life. Before I go on. Ketogenic Dieting

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy in children. The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fueling brain-function. However, if there is little carbohydrate in the diet, the liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source. An elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood, a state known as ketosis, leads to a reduction in the frequency of epileptic seizures. Two Days Til My Birthday, Yay!!

I am truly an old fart, officially in two days lol. No I'm kidding, 50 is the new 40 :P didn't you know? kay so enough of that. I have been so very busy lately, haven't you noticed my lack of posts? Yeah my new years resolutions are two, I am managing to keep last years. So they are as follows: 1) Better organise my hobby room, it is a mess. 2) Try to manage my time to accomplish almost everything, blogging is what I speak of. I am also behind on my diet blog, thankfully I take photos of weigh-ins yay go me. I am happy that I have been able to achieve my goal, sort of, I won't be hitting the Target, but at least I am on the right road, which makes me very happy. Weigh-in #25, Ugh mistakes!

So I initially thought I lost 5lbs, it was a mistake I made, and didn’t realize it, until later in the week, oh boy I hate when I do that because it really does throw me off, not only mentally, but on MyFitnessPal, if I put in a certain weight, it will carry over, so there is no fixing it, I just have to adjust it in my next submission, well what is done, is done. it turns out, I only lost .09 lbs, lol far from 5 lbs haha. Anyway, regardless of my mistake, I am back on track and doing okay. With that said here are this week's results. This sounds so random, but my nail was fixable, but I had to be very gentle with it, as it had broke, right on the meaty part of the nail bed. That will all heal over time. Ok till next time.
