I think many can agree the weather has just been crazy. Today, for instance, I woke up to thunder, lightning, and rain. And just yesterday, it was super sunny and hot. It was so hot I had to close the living room curtains because when the sun gets to that side of the house, it cooks the house. It is like that every year, the sun that is. The thunderstorm is another story. All through May it has been raining, and cold. It's unusually cold for that time of the year, which postponed working on the yard. Yesterday, my husband took out the bags of mulch and placed them near the areas where he is going to work. Wow, August Already?
For the last two weeks, really since May 2023, we have had a bad internet connection. But the last two weeks have been horrible, most of the time seemed like downtime. It got to a point I needed to call Verizon and find out what was happening. I tried numerous times to restart the router and troubleshoot via the Verizon app which they recommend. Then I tried a chat session, the first time we got disconnected due to doing it via my computer, I should have known better. But then I tried again via computer, and the same thing happened. I was pretty upset. I finally decided to try the chat session via my browser on my phone and have it on data only. Well, when the rep needed me to go to my browser and do a speed test, we got disconnected. I was fuming by this time, but trying to keep my cool. Weigh-in #17 – I’ve Been So Busy!
I have literally been so busy, I didn't get a chance to write in my journal this week!! Let alone blog a post. Wow, I need to manage my time better, the older I get the less time I have in a day, what is going on with that? Do you feel that way too? Do tell! Sunday, April 30, 2023, was a great weigh-in, I lost 3.3 lbs, which is so exciting, I am down to 285 lbs, and little by little it is going down. Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, I hope you all had a nice one. Ours was excellent, we made soft tacos with Mr. Tortilla, multigrain tortillas with 2 net carbs and 35 calories each, and quite delicious, check them out if interested. Weigh-in #6 – Keeping On Track
Life is so busy, I forget to post my weigh-in progress in a timely manner. Some things are unavoidable. But as you see by the title, it has been another successful weigh-in. Sometimes I don't know how I can manage my time better. I have a lot of distractions that cannot be helped. Moving on to the weigh-in, here is my latest weigh-in photo. This photo made my legs look weird lol. Those are the kitty slippers I was talking about in another post. I have my eyes on a pair of Hello Kitty slippers similar to these. These are very comfy by the way :) I lost 2.7 lbs, I am happy with that. I have to admit I am a little worried about Sunday's weigh-in. I say this because we had rice a few times this week, not a lot, like 1/2 cup. We haven't eaten rice in about 2 years, just has a lot of carbs. Keeping Busy & May Change Domain Names
I have been busy, but when aren't I right? There just isn't enough time in a day, to do all that you want to do. And even when you are busy, you just have to take some time out for yourself. It is healthy. I recently posted a weigh-in, as recent as today (Jan 19, 2023), depending on when I post this lol. I am happy with those results, although I know they won't always be what I want, all I can do is try my best. It is better than not trying at all. It is raining today, a dreary day. It got colder in my hobby room, and then I realized it was raining. It always gets colder when it rains. I am surprised we haven't got a lot of snow. However, it is normal for us to get a lot of snow from February through March. I am kind of looking forward to it, but at the same time, I am not.
