I Need Eye Glasses

January 21, 2010 by Emily 2 Comments

Well, I was getting these weird headaches and my eyes would feel a bit tired, so I figured I at least needed a new pair of eyeglasses. A quick visit to the eye clinic later and as it turns out, I need new eyeglasses. There's a bit of good news, in that other than that, my eyes seem to be in good health, but if it gets worse, I may consider taking ocular steroids such as eye drops, gels, or ointments. I'm also super light sensitive and I need to wear Humps Optics Polarized Sunglasses even at night when I drive, because of the car lights on the road. Now I'm in Massachusetts, and I have seen the damage I have done. So looking around for a place to get my eyeglasses is a job in itself. There are so many places to look, but so many places are so expensive. So what do I do, a little search, I can always rely on google to help me out Continue Reading

Upgrading This, Upgrade That! Ugh!!

January 20, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

For the past 2 days, I've been working on my collective site over at KM and I have been working on upgrading, I think it's an upgrade from FanUpdate to WordPress because there are no more updates being made for FanUpdate, and as much as I liked it, and as easy as it was to install. I felt I needed something that has more updates and fixes. So I decided to install WordPress. Everything is going fine, just creating my pages, as I want my site to be used all around not just the blog portion of it. Lot's of pages, but I will be 100% happier. I have some issues with the Keep In Mind script, I also upgraded that one from the old one I had, which I'm happier about. But getting it to integrate with WP is another thing, so that will take some time. I may, for the time being, make a little layout just for just my KIM, until I figure out how to Continue Reading

Outrageous Prices!!

January 16, 2010 by Emily 1 Comment

When I look out the window it looks like it can be spring, but if you step out you can feel the cold chill in the air, and the lawns with snow still on them, and then you remember, 'Hey it's still winter'! I think we are halfway through winter. I'm actually hoping for another blizzard is that so wrong of me? lol. I took about an hour off from writing this blog, I was looking for a food steamer, similar to one I used when I was in England, and OMGOSH it's hard to find here in the states. I found electric ones, and the stainless steel or aluminum ones were expensive, well actually the stainless steel ones are, I won't even talk about the shipping. And on Ebay the shipping is higher than on Amazon. So I found a nice aluminum one on Amazon and got that, which makes steaming vegetables much easier. I'll post a picture of it. Last weekend Continue Reading

There will be a lot of changes this year for myself and a lot of those out there. Did you all make your New Years' resolution? I haven't yet, I should ... like soon! First things though, change of theme here, not what I was looking for really but I think it'll do. I have websites I really need to work on, so hopefully, I get all that updated this week. This weekend we finally put away all the Christmas decorations, I think it was a day or two after Christmas I think I mentioned or maybe I didn't. Going shopping for Christmas decorations, so much at 50% off, we got a lot. A good way of saving for the next Christmas wrapping session. I really think all I will need is tape lol. Apart from wrapping paper, bags, cards, name tags, we also found some cute Christmas decorations, so really cute. I can't wait until Christmas just to put them out to Continue Reading

Bruins Game Was Awesome!

December 31, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

First and foremost, Happy New Year's Eve! I had a great time at the hockey game last night. It was my birthday present from William, he tried getting it on my birthday, but couldn't, so we went last night. Traffic was horrendous, but we managed to get there with enough time to really enjoy the game. We had great club seats, cushy seats, great view! Of course, I will have to share some of the photos with you. Took a few pictures of inside, some with a camera, some with my mobile, we'll see how those mobile pictures came out :) The Bruins were awesome, and here are some photos to show you all, how much fun it was to watch! I started this blog a long time ago. But had stuff to do, that it just stood open. Well, I wanted to share the photos from the awesome game last night and there they are. It's New Years' even, I'm not going to a Continue Reading
