Less Than An Amateur

December 8, 2011 by Emily Leave a Comment

I finally got my photography website up, I just have a partial gallery, I need to gather my photos, well at least the ones I want to use. But I'm excited about it. You can find that at lenscapture, isn't that a great name for a photogrphy website? Well I am no professional by any means. I love to take photos, and sometimes, I get some wicked cool photos, and sometimes I don't, you can do so much with a little digital, actually what I need to do, is learn how to use it better. I'm sure if I learned how to use it better, I can get some pretty awesome photos. So if anyone has any suggestions maybe classes online, that would be a great tip. Like I mentioned it's new, and I only have a partial gallery, but hopefully it will fill up over time. Oh yeah, finally got the reseller all set up, and happy to have moved my collective thislove.nu, Continue Reading

In 5 Months

Looks like there is a change of plan. My hosting here doesn't end until May 2012, so I am going to finish out my time here, and then move. The hosting here has been exceptional. I have never had any problems, and if I did, they were quick to take care of the problem. So that makes me really happy. But I will wait it out until the end of April, and then transfer. No point in letting this go to waste, since it's been paid up for a year. I'm happy to see the new reseller domain is up. I won't be selling hosting, that's now why we got it, but it has to be a mutual decision, since it was 3 parties involved. So for now we are just using for ourselves. Of course if family or friends needed some hosting, we probably would do it, but again, it's not only my decision its all 3 of us. I think we are going to be happy here. On to other things. Downtime

December 6, 2011 by Emily Leave a Comment

Ok, so I had finally decided with a few other friends, to move to a new server. On one of my websites, the downtime has been ridiculous, and it just wasn't worth it anymore. Even though I still have 6 months left on that hosting, the downtime is just so disruptive, so I have decided to move. We are buying a reseller which is fantastic. I'm excited about it, but at the same time I'm in charge so more responsibility for me. I'm talking with support right now before making the purchase, I just wanted a few question answered. Got to make sure I cover all areas, as much as possible. So I will be experiencing downtime as files are being moved. While that is going on, let me just say, I have fantastic birthday, my wonderful boyfriend went above and beyond. Even though my birthday fell on a Sunday, and not everything is open on a Sunday, Continue Reading

Happy Birthday To Me

Awesomely wrapped personalised M&M's, Yum!

Woohoo it's my birthday today, don't ask me how old I am or I'll shoot you hehe. After midnight last night, I got my first Happy Birthday wish, and kiss from my wonderful boyfriend. That was a really good way to start my birthday! This morning I slept in, so I skipped an early birthday breakfast, but I will be having brunch with William. He also showered me with a few more gifts. I don't know if you all recall, I got 2 early birthday gifts from him, a leather office chair, and some personalised M&M's it's so awesome!! He's so awesome. The chair is so comfortable and cushy too!    The M&M's were personalised with 'I Love You' and "William & Emily", how romantic is that, see the photos. Then today, when he went out to get the Sunday paper for me, he came back with more presents, woohoo, so exciting. Well he knows not to Continue Reading

My Holiday Wish

December 2, 2011 by Emily Leave a Comment

First and foremost, the most important thing on my holiday wish list is for all of my family and friends, near and far, to be safe, healthy, happy and loved. And yes, of course there will always be some type of material gift I'd want on my holiday wish list, so here we go! Step One Make a post to your blog, tumblr, facebook, myspace, what have you. The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really want and that people can see the post. If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just an email address at which you can be contacted by potential wish-grantors. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your post, so that the holiday joy will spread. Step Two Surf around your friends list/blogroll/RSS feeds Continue Reading
