We are into the new year now, and I am trying to stick to my new year's resolutions. Did I mention what they were? My first one is to read the Bible daily, and guess what? I haven't done that, yeah I disappointed myself. I do listen to daily prayer, but it is not the same, so that is going to have to change. Why is it I can stick to a diet, but not read the Bible every day? I have to, I need to do this. Dear Lord, please encourage and inspire me to read your word, I need you in my life. Before I go on. I need to do one thing. I am back. I just wanted to check in with a friend. I feel better now. I was going to talk about my sister but I decided not to. We are estranged sadly. Maybe another day. I pray she and her partner are doing well. Since starting my diet on January 3rd I believe, nope it is January 2nd I am keeping track Continue Reading
Merry Christmas, See You In 2023
I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. My husband is off for the next 10 days, and we are going to enjoy each other's company, and try not to get into each other's way, as that can happen sometimes. I try to give him some space, and let him do his thing. Our Christmas has been nice so far. Just last weekend, we went to my in-laws for our annual Christmas luncheon, it was very nice. We had a great time, and I recorded everyone playing the game, that was so much fun. I lost, but my husband won, which was very cool. I think I gained like 15 pounds, and we still are going to my sister-in-law's on Christmas day for our Christmas luncheon. Speaking of gaining weight. One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back on the treadmill, which my husband bought me a couple of years ago. At that time I was on a Continue Reading
Is Being Busy An Excuse?
It is for me. I have been so busy, I have not had time to read the Bible. With it being Easter yesterday I decided to spend time reading the Bible. Did I mention I have been reading the Bible? I had to go back and glance at my last post, and yes I have talked about it. The Bible I posted is one I like reading. I love it, it is a beautiful Bible. Since my last post, I have added 4 more Bibles. After researching and visiting a few Christian websites, I learned there are various translations so I became curious. One of my favorite websites is the Blue Letter Bible, I go to it on a regular basis, and they have a smartphone app as well. There is so much content on that website, that it is the only Christian website you will ever need. However, I like to look around through other Christian websites as well. As so many have a lot to offer. I Continue Reading
Snow, Bible Journaling, Worrying
My husband often tells me I worry too much. I don't know why, it is in my nature to worry. When I first moved to Massachusetts, I thought wow, I am going to live in a state I only wished to have visited but here I am living in it. Living here means snow at some point in time. The first, oh I say 9 years were amazing. To look out the window see all the snow, was and is still breathtaking. Then we moved to our new house, and I was, and still am very happy so is my husband. The first 2 years, here again, were amazing, and happy, and they still are. However, with that came concern of the beautiful animals I have the opportunity to see out of my windows all year round. From rabbits to a groundhog to squirrels to beautiful birds and yes even turkeys and deer. Just so much beauty that God has blessed us with. I needed to step away, this Continue Reading
Believe It Or Not!
I am getting my very first bible. I never had my own. I know as a kid, we did get to some Sunday schooling but that ended, not sure why. But I had a little pink book with a cross in a little window on the cover. I believe that was old testaments. To be honest I have no idea what happened to that. I sure wish I still had it. After I moved from my parent's home (after my mother, RIP, passed) I moved to England purely out of depression, not a great choice. I have things that I regret and that is one of them. Although on that same note the events that followed, lead me to my current husband. So as it is always said. God has a reason for everything. I truly believe that now, deeply in my heart. About the Bible, I think I wrote about it in my other blog, so I am going to copy and paste most of that part of the post. It is a New James Continue Reading
