Mid Winter

January 27, 2010 by Emily Leave a Comment

We are halfway through winter, and we have had only one big snowfall. I loved it, I know that those that live here, are happy when there isn't much snowfall, but for me, it's so much fun to see and experience that it would be awesome if it would fall again. I'm not sure how many snowfalls I'm going to experience, but I try to enjoy it to the fullest. Coming from California, we didn't see much snow, unless you actually went up to Big Bear. Well now I am on the opposite side of the USA, and I am really enjoying the weather, sure it's cold but a sweater or a nice warm blanket can take care of that. The roughest time for me here is during summer, I came here in July of last year, and oh my goodness, the humidity was horrible, I could seriously live without that. I just absolutely hate how it feels. I remember one day I walked outside, Continue Reading

Netflix Rocks~

January 25, 2010 by Emily 1 Comment

It really does, rock that is! I mean we can even use PS3 to be able to watch films or TV shows from Netflix, it's just so awesome. We are catching up with LOST, and a few other shows. I can't brag enough about it. I'm sure there are a lot of people that agree with me. So the weekend is almost over, dinner is in the oven and I am getting hungry. We haven't rearranged the living room and the other room yet. We talked about it this weekend. The main desktop computer is the one that is connected to the router and all. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a wireless card, so I am searching around for the best place to get one. So that when we do move the stuff, basically switch the rooms, the router can stay in this room and the computer area can be moved to the other room. Gosh sounds complicated it doesn't it? It really isn't though. It's Continue Reading

Fall Is Upon Us

September 10, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

I can clearly feel the changes in the weather. This may seem trivial to some, but for me it's something I've been waiting for. I've never lived in the East Coast, always been a West Coast girl. But now I am in Mass, and there is going to be extreme changes for me, starting with weather. When I first arrived, I experienced high humidity, which I was not use to. If I had come a month earlier, I would of enjoyed the rain, but I didn't. If you know me, you know I don't like the humidity, a lot of people probably don't. I know and understand that is something I need to accept and get use to if I plan on being in the East. From my experience, it don't last long, thank goodness :) William has been a true angel, with dealing with me and how the humidity affects me, can we say "grouchy" lol, bless him! He put up with a lot, and in retrospect I Continue Reading

Oh Yes It’s Friday!

August 14, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

Wow here it is again. Friday! TGIF!! My sister texted me last night, said she arrived early to San Francisco, they are there for today's pre-season football game against Denver Broncos, Go 49ers!!! I hope she has a fantastic time, and that she returns home safely! I don't have much of a weekend planned, watch a good film perhaps, do some laundry, help clean out a closet. Sounds like fun don't it? I was just on Sodahead, and read this lovely poem that a mother dedicated to her Down Syndrome Daughter, I have to post it, it's just beautiful, it brought a tear to my eyes. I also posted the original post, in case someone was curious who wrote it. Down Syndrome Creed My face may be different but my feelings the same I laugh and I cry. I take pride in my gains. I was sent here among you to teach you to love, As God in the Heavens looks Continue Reading

Feeling 100%

August 8, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

Gosh I am so glad, I am finally back at 100%, not sure what I had, but it pretty much lasted all week. Thank you everyone for putting up with it. Even the weather has been so lovely. Since first coming to Massachusetts, it's been really muggy, like nothing I've ever experienced before. From what I am told, I came during the time that it is the muggiest, some luck hey? hehe. Well now it's nice, not sure how long this gorgeous weather will be here, but I welcome it. Come September, it'll get cooler, I've never experienced a winter here, but I'm told it's "very" cold *shivers* lol. I've gotten into this great tv series by the name of Dexter, not the cartoon, I think one of my readers at one time thought I was talking about the cartoon, but it's a crime type of show. Where a forensics splatter expert is actually a serial killer, but he Continue Reading
