W is for Water for Elephants #AtoZChallenge

Oh this is one film I have yet to see as well. I remember it being advertised, and though awe Robert Pattinson is in it, I want to see it, but then again it's a love story and I'm not too crazy about them, but I heard so many good things about it, that I really do want to see it now. I was actually on GetGlue.com when I seen it first advertised, I love that website, you get real stickers there too, I got a large collection of stickers, anyway, yeah I seen it there, and got a sticker for the film, and really that's where I first seen the trailer for the film. So if you seen it, let me know if you really liked it, okay? On to the storyline. After his parents' death, Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson) is left penniless and homeless. Events lead him to joining the circus as their vet, working under their unstable boss August (Christoph Continue Reading

L is for The Lake House #AtoZChallenge

April 13, 2012 by Emily 9 Comments

So today is the letter L, which will be for the film by the name The Lake House, this is one of those romance films, and I just adore Sandra Bullock, I watch just about everything she stars in. This is a really sweet film, and personally it just makes your mind wander. Can this really happen? What if it did? I think lots of people think those type of things. This film is a 2006 remake of the South Korean film by the name Il Mare, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock star as Alex Wyler and Kate Forster. What's this film about? An independent-minded doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect (Keanu Reeves). When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary Continue Reading

G is for Ghost #AtoZChallenge

April 7, 2012 by Emily 4 Comments

I remember when I first seen this film, I cried, I admit it. I did cry. Back then I just loved these type of films, love stories hehe. Now it's a little different, I don't watch as much love stores, unless they are very different, and this one was. A classic that has just recently been made into a musical, Ghost the musical. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I heard this, at least they didn't re-make a film about it. I'm not sure how I would of felt about that, probably the same way I felt about Footloose, I am curious to know what the musical would be like, I don't think I'll be seeing it, but I am going to keep my ears open to see what the public thinks. So anyway, what is this film about for those of you who haven't seen it? Sam (Patrick Swayze) and Molly (Demi Moore) are a very happy couple and deeply in love. Walking Continue Reading

30 Days Of Truth – Day 18: Your Views On Gay Marriage

March 10, 2012 by Emily 3 Comments

Let me start by saying these are my views, my thoughts, so please respect them. I am all for gay marriage. Everyone is entitled to spending their lives together regardless of race, and those that want to spend their lives together want to spend it in an arrangement called a marriage. There are many reasons for wanting to be in a marriage, everyone has their own. I feel that homosexuals aka gays should have the same rights as heterosexuals in a marriage. They are spending their lives together, doing just about everything that a heterosexual couple would do. They may not have kids, but they sure can raise them, they can love them, just like anyone else. So since the gay couples are doing all this, they need to be on the same insurance as well. Be able to be the next of kin if one of them should fall ill and be hospitalised, do you see where Continue Reading
