It’s Been A Minute

January 26, 2026 by Emily Leave a Comment

Mt14 30-31

It has actually been longer than a minute lol. But you know how that goes. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve. We stayed at home, where we are happy with each other and our furbabies. We had an appointment for someone to come and install a water filtration unit, and it was cancelled due to snow, but that snow was nothing like what we had overnight. We seriously had from 12 to 18 inches of snow. We cleared the driveway this morning. Last night, my outside semi-feral furbaby, Lilo, the tortie girl. Decided she needed to go potty, and when she jumped down, she didn't realize how deep the snow was. She didn't return. I really wish she had returned. I know she could have made the jump up to her house. So she stayed under the deck, and this morning, she was gone. Nowhere to be found. I am worried sick. The snow is Continue Reading

New Fridges, Great Weather, Weigh-in!

June 13, 2024 by Emily Leave a Comment

Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV)

We are in June, and the weather is nice, at least it is today. Sometimes it rains, but that seems to be a normal thing for my area. Great weather is wonderful, but having a fridge break down isn't. We were able to save most of the food, but we did lose a few things. I would say we went for almost a week, maybe 5 days using an ice box. We borrowed my sister-in-law's, and the only thing they forgot to put in it, was the plug, so the water wouldn't leak out. We managed though, we had to regularly drain the water outside. My husband happened to run into her at the grocery store, so that was a good thing. Her igloo was huge, and it was perfect for us to have what we needed in the kitchen. My husband ordered 2 fridges, one downstairs in the basement, for overflow groceries. We already have a deep freezer, but sometimes that gets maxed, and with Continue Reading

Keeping Cool With Humid Weather

July 9, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Romans 12:2

We always get humid weather here, most of Summer is humid, sad to say, but at least it is Summer. We take advantage of the days that are nice enough to sit out on the deck. Today we have the sun coming in and out. But it is about 82 degrees, and the low is expected to be 70 degrees, which is quite warm, which makes me concerned for my ferals outside. They are smart though, they find a cool place and stay there most of the day, and begin to come out when it gets cooler. Or when they are getting really hungry, I wouldn't say starving, because I feed them daily. Today, at about 10 am, my husband fed Sammy, I am glad he came around because he looked a bit skinny and needs to put my fat on his body, he also came around yesterday late afternoon. That was an interesting event. I say this because he would always go under the deck to cool off Continue Reading

Weigh-in #11 – I’m Really Proud of Myself!

March 19, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

I was very happy when I stepped on the scale this morning. I didn't have any coffee or breakfast yet, I never do when I am going to weigh in. I put on my catpuccino socks and grabbed the scale, got my phone ready, and stepped on the scale. I weighed in at 296.0 lbs, which is a 2.3 lbs loss, yay! Very happy with those results. I was just talking with my husband while folding some laundry. About the time I started walking on the treadmill. It was in December 2014, I believe I was at a weight of 265.3 lbs. At that point, I had already been losing weight by counting calories. We think I could start walking on the treadmill again at about 280 lbs. I don't want to get on the treadmill again too heavy as I don't want to be at fault for breaking it hehe. When I started counting calories again this time around. I tried walking on the Continue Reading

Keeping Busy & May Change Domain Names

January 23, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

I have been busy, but when aren't I right? There just isn't enough time in a day, to do all that you want to do. And even when you are busy, you just have to take some time out for yourself. It is healthy. I recently posted a weigh-in, as recent as today (Jan 19, 2023), depending on when I post this lol. I am happy with those results, although I know they won't always be what I want, all I can do is try my best. It is better than not trying at all. It is raining today, a dreary day. It got colder in my hobby room, and then I realized it was raining. It always gets colder when it rains. I am surprised we haven't got a lot of snow. However, it is normal for us to get a lot of snow from February through March. I am kind of looking forward to it, but at the same time, I am not. I say this because I worry about my feral boys outside. Sammy Continue Reading
