I Made It To Onederland!

May 21, 2025 by Emily Leave a Comment

Psalm 61:2 [NKJV]

I am so very sorry for not updating in like 7 months. What in the world? My life is so busy, and I just don't have time. I always say, I need to make time, and I try to, and before I know it, I don't have the time. I am beginning this and keeping this browser open until I finish this post. And remember to save, in case it does not autosave. I need to go make some lunch before it gets later. I'm sharing a tree we planted in our front yard, it is looking so pretty. I had my lunch, then got distracted with other things. I am supposed to look for a few things online. I'm worried about cat food prices going up, so I want to stockpile the wet/dry food and litter. I feed my girls (Daisy and Lily) and a few ferals, so I want to have plenty. People are starting to get a little paranoid (points at self), lol. So my blog will be a slow Continue Reading

New Fridges, Great Weather, Weigh-in!

June 13, 2024 by Emily Leave a Comment

Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV)

We are in June, and the weather is nice, at least it is today. Sometimes it rains, but that seems to be a normal thing for my area. Great weather is wonderful, but having a fridge break down isn't. We were able to save most of the food, but we did lose a few things. I would say we went for almost a week, maybe 5 days using an ice box. We borrowed my sister-in-law's, and the only thing they forgot to put in it, was the plug, so the water wouldn't leak out. We managed though, we had to regularly drain the water outside. My husband happened to run into her at the grocery store, so that was a good thing. Her igloo was huge, and it was perfect for us to have what we needed in the kitchen. My husband ordered 2 fridges, one downstairs in the basement, for overflow groceries. We already have a deep freezer, but sometimes that gets maxed, and with Continue Reading

Weigh-in #16 – Intermittent Fasting Works!

April 27, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

John 4:16 KJV

I have been so busy, that I completely forgot to post on Tuesday, which is when I am trying to post now. Okay, so as my title states, yes intermittent fasting does work. It did great this first week for my current weigh-in. I lost 3.9 lbs, I was very happy. I feel I can intermittently fast in the mornings, and then have lunch, and then dinner. Which keeps my calorie intake lower. This is what I will be doing from here on in. I think it was a great success, and I hope on Sunday, I have another successful weigh-in. I am so happy to see the number going down on the scale. So very happy. The intermittent fasting is paying off and is worth it. Now to just continue doing what I am doing. When I fast, by the end of dinner, I am less than 1000 calories, so I need to eat a little more during the day. Because eating more at night is not a Continue Reading

Weigh-in #12 – Not As Much As I Had Hoped!

March 28, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Even though, it wasn't as much as I had hoped to lose. I still lost weight. My husband thought I was disappointed when I got off the scale. But he completely misunderstood my expression. It is so weird. People all my life have gotten mixed messages from my facial expressions. I don't like that about myself, but it is, what it is. We discussed it and cleared the air, which made me happy. He may have been a bit frustrated about it. But I prefer to clear the air. Now, the weigh-in. I think there may have been a day or two where I may have left things out. So I would blame myself. Even so, I still feel it is a WIN because I am still losing weight, even though it wasn't as much as I would like. I try to average 2 per week, this week was only 1.3 lbs, which is okay. I went from 296.0 to 294.7 lbs. I can't wait to get out of the 290s. Now the Continue Reading

Weigh-in #9 – Better Than Nothing

March 9, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Per my last post, if you didn't read it. I did backdate it, to stay on track. Today's weigh-in is on schedule, although I am pushing it by posting this on Thursday, as my weigh-in will be on Sunday, but better than being even further behind. Today we had a sweet Italian sausage as part of dinner, that baby is a whopping 290 calories, but it did taste good, and we needed to eat it. Who likes food to go to waste? I don't. And no that is not the reason I am overweight. I didn't watch what I ate, and it just got out of hand. All that doesn't even matter at this point. The point is, I am doing something about it. I lost 1.5 lbs, still a good number to lose considering my calorie intake. I hope the Italian sausage doesn't mess me up on Sunday lol. There will be days, and there have been days. It is not always going to be perfect, but all I Continue Reading
