Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone. Americans are celebrating Cinco de Mayo today, from experience I recall it to be a very festive time, especially in Los Angeles, California. The music, the food!!! The colorful costumes they where when they perform their dances, it's very exciting to watch, remindes me of Guatemala actually, since its similar but at the same time it's not. Guatemala's independence day is Sept 16, and they have some spectacular things going on in Guatemala. In Amercia though Cinco de Mayo seems to be recognized more, but hey if you are ever in California on Cinco de Mayo then you should check it out downtown, lots of festivities.
