I had a nice big fat rant on twitter today. Really it wasn’t all that big, I’m exaggerating. But that’s what I usually do when something goes wrong that shouldn’t. RANT ALERT: Fair warning, there is cursing in my post today, and I really don’t care. I’m made and it makes me feel better to express it here.
This past week. William had some work done on his truck. He took it in, because a dashboard light was coming on that shouldn’t. Okay cool. So after about a day or two of finding out what’s going to happen. He finally says, he needs to take it in, and they will have it for just about that whole day. Now I know mechanics get busy, but just make sure you do the damn work, you know?
Ok so he gets it back. A day or two pass, it’s Sunday morning. He goes out to get us a Sunday paper. Takes kind of long, I start to worry as usual. Finally I hear him downstairs, so I call out to him if he’s home, he says yes, I feel better lol. Then he comes up stairs, and says that the dash light is coming on again. So now I’m getting upset. Because I had a chat with him about how I feel about mechanics, and how a very large number of them give other honest mechanics a bad wrap.
Trust me growing up, I head all kind of shit, my mom would get on the mechanics asses about things (it’s known that mechanics try to pull the wool over a woman’s eyes, when it comes to cars) well my mom knew a lot, and they never got away with shit with her. I wish I was more like her with that, but I’m not, sad to say. Besides William is in charge of that stuff, and the fact that the mechanic works on the trucks at his job, well there should be a degree of trust there.
My problem is this. The mechanic changed all the spark plugs, and 1 coil to 1 spark plug, but said ‘you should change them all soon’. He also said that the truck should be fine for now, but that he should get the coils changed, the mechanic added that, once those are in place, then they can see if that will solve one of the problems. So now I feel the mechanic is playing a guessing game. Shouldn’t he be able to diagnose the problem and then come up with a viable solution, instead of saying ‘We’ll see if that solves the problem’ seriously what the fuck is that?
So yeah I’m worried, and I’m mad, very mad, so mad I can smack the mechanic but I won’t lol. That would not be a good thing. I’m PISSED, if anything happens to William on his journey to work and home. I am going to fully blame the incompetent mechanic.
Now I know, that keeping your vehicle in tip top shape, or as best as you can, within means. I know that, but that doesn’t excuse the fact he’s playing a guessing game. He might as well keep telling him it may be something else, until the vehicle is back to mint condition. For Fuck Sake!!
End of rant.
