The first thing I thought about today was my sister, and her name happens to start with a 'J', so I want to quickly say Happy Birthday to her! Happy Birthday Jackie! I Love you, I hope you have a fantastic day, and make this day as special as you can. Wish I was there, but I am in spirit! Ok moving along so we are in full swing with this AtoZ challenge, everyone having fun? *raises hand* I am! OK so today I have to share a film called Jeepers Creepers, over the weekend, actually I think it was Saturday, I was flipping through the channels, just to watch something as I had lunch. And the film Jeepers Creepers came on, and thought instantly I loved this film, it freaked me out!! I loved it but freaked me out? Yeah that's what I said. It's such a creepy film, and scary, if you are into horrors, I suggest watching this, if you aren't then Continue Reading
H is for Hard Candy #AtoZChallenge
I selected a film that made a big impression on me, it's the first film I had ever seen Ellen Page star in, so I wasn't sure what to expect, and she did an amazing job. This is basically about a 14 year old girl, Haley Stark (Ellen Page), who takes revenge on an Internet predator, a photographer (Patrick Wilson) she met on the internet, whom she believed to be a pedophile. Hayley flirts with him in spite of the age difference and proposes to go to his house. Once there, she prepares a screwdriver for them and Jeff passes out. When he awakes, he is tied up to a chair, and Hayley accuses him of pedophilia. Jeff denies the accusation, and Hayley begins to torture him in a cat and mouse game. This was an explosive film, the changes in mood were sudden, this little girl was so brave to do this, or course I wouldn't recommend 14 year old's Continue Reading
G is for Ghost #AtoZChallenge
I remember when I first seen this film, I cried, I admit it. I did cry. Back then I just loved these type of films, love stories hehe. Now it's a little different, I don't watch as much love stores, unless they are very different, and this one was. A classic that has just recently been made into a musical, Ghost the musical. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I heard this, at least they didn't re-make a film about it. I'm not sure how I would of felt about that, probably the same way I felt about Footloose, I am curious to know what the musical would be like, I don't think I'll be seeing it, but I am going to keep my ears open to see what the public thinks. So anyway, what is this film about for those of you who haven't seen it? Sam (Patrick Swayze) and Molly (Demi Moore) are a very happy couple and deeply in love. Walking Continue Reading
F is for Footloose (1984) #AtoZChallenge
I believe the remake of Footloose has come out, I've seen the trailer and I don't like it much. Footloose from 1984 is by far a much better film in my opinion. There are some films you just shouldn't make a remake of and this is one of them. So what is this film about? Ren McCormick (Kevin Bacon), a decidedly urban teen who's transplanted to a small Midwestern town where dancing is outlawed. Recruiting his best pal, the quiet Willard (Chris Penn), and his girlfriend (Lori Singer), a clergyman's daughter, Ren starts a revolution by moving to the beat I seen a couple of Kevin Bacon's interviews, and initially he didn't know he was going to have to dance in the film, until he was cast and they told him that he would have to take dance classes, he also said in a separate interview he was mostly concerned with can he pull off being 17, does Continue Reading
Days Of Truth – Day 20: Your Views On Drugs and Alcohol
Say No To Drugs, is my first thoughts. Don't abuse the alcohol and well hopefully you will use common sense and get help. I know that we all experimented at some point in our lives, but at one point we have to know when to say no. Some people don't learn their lesson until it's too late, and they either end up doing time on prison, or 6 feet under. Both places you don't want to end up. Sometimes, when a substance be in drugs or alcohol are abused, you do things, you wouldn't normally do. There are times girls will drink to the point of losing control, and guys will take advantage of them, that happens so much these days. What about hazing, where alcohol is abused as well, and someone ends up stuck in a trunk, drowning in his or her own vomit, it's a terrible thing to image, but it does happen, it has happened, and I hate to say this, it Continue Reading
