Spring, Rainy Easter, and DIYing

April 23, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

Happy Easter

That sums it up. I love Spring don't get me wrong, I loved it more when I lived in California and I was actually able to enjoy it heh. Spring here is different, it is wet lol. We get a lot of rain, a day or so of just cloudy days, and then a day or so of very sunny ideal Spring weather. I would never leave here without my honey, it is home regardless of the weather. Moving along, below are some DIYs I did that I will talk about in my blog, they were so much fun to do. I had such awesome inspiration, and tutorials. This Easter was raining and I hope the kids got to go somewhere it wasn't raining to enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt. Because I cannot picture them out in the rain looking for eggs. That does not sound like it would be fun. Hey, at least it is not snowing. I have been a bit MIA lately. I was busy, to be honest. Rushing to Continue Reading

Punxsutawney Phil Was Wrong!

March 11, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

When I first heard the news the day after Ground Hogs day I was excited that we were getting an early spring. I thought yay, finally we will get a decent Spring. Today is March 10, 2019 and guess what? He was wrong!! Oh so wrong. Just earlier today it snowed a little, and last week we were dumped with 1 foot of snow. This is not Spring weather! I guess no one is perfect, right? Hopefully the snow will now start to melt away and it will warm up, but right now, it is cold and I have my space heater on in my hobby room as it gets cold. We are thinking - NO, we are, going to get an electric fireplace for the living room, we have a smaller one in the bedroom and it is so nice. I think we'll save on the bills, with the electric fireplace, so the heater doesn't have to go on all the time all over the house, in rooms no one is in Continue Reading

Is It Age? Or Weight?

February 16, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

i'm exhausted

I have been asking myself lately whether it is my age or the extra weight my small frame is carrying around, that has really exhausted me from a few hours of shopping on Saturday and makes me think I need a tummy tuck. Today actually, we did our rounds at a few stores, and then headed home, we were out I would say maybe about 4 hours. If I wasn't typing and trying to write a blog, I probably could lay down, not sure if I will sleep, as I don't like taking naps, I feel it messes with my night rest. However, lately my girls have woke me several times during the night, and they are relentless until they get what they want. So I get up and oblige so that my fiance can sleep, as he is the one that gets up early to go to work. So all that is making me tired throughout the week, and by the time Saturday arrives, I am in no mood to go Continue Reading

How Fast Did 2019 Arrive?

January 24, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

I would say warp speed. I felt as if it was just Christmas, and now it is almost the end of January, wow! Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was fun and memorable. I had a nice Christmas with my honey and his family, and then here at home with just us and the girls (our cats: Lily & Daisy). We had some snowfall last week, not a lot but it did make it very cold. Today is warmer so it is melting away. However, it is super windy and it does cause me concern. The last time we had strong winds a tree fell on our deck, and we would hate for that to happen again. Oh please NO!! I decided to remove the contact form from this website because I continued to get a lot of soliciting emails, and I really don't want anything to do with them. Most of them were obvious they didn't even check the content lol. There is an email that a visitor Continue Reading

Happy New Year 2019 ~Wow!

January 7, 2019 by Emily Leave a Comment

I cannot believe how fast 2018 zipped by us. We (William and myself) were just talking about how fast 2018 went by. It feels like it was just Christmas, and then here is Christmas again. And look we are officially 7 days into the new year! How did that happen? Lol. So let's start with what my New Years resolutions are, and I sure do need to keep more than one. First I would start with continuing my diet back on track as best I can, without taking the fun of living life. Then I would say that organizating is a big thing for me, I tried last year and failed miserably. This year I am giving it another go. Specifically my hobby room, where I have various things that I honestly don't need in the room with me. I do my nails in the room, so there is a lot of nail supplies in here, I do some crafting, so there is various crafting supplies Continue Reading
