Real Life Gets Really Hectic

June 26, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Romans 8:28

I don't even know where to begin. So I will just jump in. It has been over a month since I posted any kind of update. I have had so much going on. Between listing stuff for sale and keeping on top of that, writing reviews for products, feeding the cats inside and outside, and my day-to-day things here at home. It has been pretty hectic. So forgive me for not coming to post updates on anything, including my weigh-ins. As for my weigh-ins, I still do them, and I still keep track of them, so that I can come and do an update. Today I decided it has been long enough. I need to continue doing this, and making updates on life as well. This is the only real blog I post most on. I also am on Plurk, where I do updates on daily things, I like to keep track of. That shares to Twitter as well. I post a few things on Instagram but lately, I have Continue Reading

Merry Christmas, See You In 2023

December 23, 2022 by Emily 2 Comments

I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. My husband is off for the next 10 days, and we are going to enjoy each other's company, and try not to get into each other's way, as that can happen sometimes. I try to give him some space, and let him do his thing. Our Christmas has been nice so far. Just last weekend, we went to my in-laws for our annual Christmas luncheon, it was very nice. We had a great time, and I recorded everyone playing the game, that was so much fun. I lost, but my husband won, which was very cool. I think I gained like 15 pounds, and we still are going to my sister-in-law's on Christmas day for our Christmas luncheon. Speaking of gaining weight. One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back on the treadmill, which my husband bought me a couple of years ago. At that time I was on a Continue Reading

I Think It Is Time To Let This Domain (Emily.nu) Go

December 1, 2022 by Emily Leave a Comment

It is good until April 2023, and since I am not really doing much with it besides an occasional blog post, I don't see a point in paying so much for the domain name. Times are hard, and I have to let some things go, this and maybe another 2 domains. I have had this for almost 10 years, wow. But even so, it is time. I have said this at least 2 times before and never did it. What I want to do is import all my posts from this blog, into my other blog, even if I have 2 posts on the same day. But figuring that out was my issue before. I am hoping I have better luck this time around. I enjoy blogging, and I wish I could do it more, but time is the issue. I write in my planner as if it was a daily blog summarizing of course. Typing is easier, and faster, but I also enjoy using my colored pens, they are so much fun to write with. And people Continue Reading

Momo’s Doing Well, Holidays & COVID

October 24, 2022 by Emily Leave a Comment

There is so much that has gone on. In my last post, I had Momo in the basement recovering from surgery, I worried a lot about his eye. I feel cats should have all their senses to survive in the wild. Well after a week of recovering, and hoping the medication helped Momo's eye, it was time to release him. It appeared as if his eye was healing, but after releasing him into our backyard, and keeping an eye on his eye. I didn't notice it healing up more. I am so sick with worry for Momo, and recapturing him, would be difficult, I would need a different trap to use, more of a drop trap, which is what I should have purchased originally, but it is what it is. And now I am trying to find someone to lend me it or save up to purchase one. In the most recent picture of Momo, his eye looks normal there, but it is just the angle, it is partially Continue Reading

Momo is On The Mend

August 10, 2022 by Emily Leave a Comment

Momo, the feral cat with the injured eye, is in my basement crate. Recovering from his surgery, he was successfully neutered, and they gave him a shot that lasts for 2 weeks to heal his eye. They asked if I could keep him for at least a week to see if his eye was improving. He hasn't eaten or drunk since the day I trapped him, which was Aug 8, 2022, after 5:30 pm. That is concerning me. He loves wet food, I left him food twice, the first day he was recovering from anesthesia, and then on the last night the 9th after I got him into the crate, he just seems bummed out, and depressed, I understand he is in a new environment, and he will come out of his shell when he is really hungry. This is my first TNR so I am not used to it. Normally, when a male cat is neutered, soon after they are released, as long as they are completely aware, and Continue Reading
