Changes Are Never Too Late

January 25, 2021 by Emily Leave a Comment

I didn't know how to title this post. I originally titled it "God, Life, World, Death" but I have a feeling I will change that. Recently I have had so many different feelings about the World, and My Life. And where is it going, what am I going to do with the rest of my life? I closed my YouTube page, as now I feel it is a waste of time. I wish I had focused more on God and my faith. I feel it is never too late. People seem to try to distance themselves from people that speak about God a lot. I think I am guilty of that. Not because I didn't or don't believe in God because I do. But I feel it is because I didn't understand it, or subconsciously I was scared of knowing the truth. I suppose my truth will be different from others. Anyway, I say about a week ago. I feel I truly received God into my heart. I have my oldest brother to Continue Reading

Hello September! Fall is Almost Here!

September 3, 2018 by Emily Leave a Comment

Nineteen days until the official first day of Fall! Wow, already so hard to believe. Just today I was looking out the kitchen window into the backyard and I saw a few leaves fall. I turned to William and told him, "I just saw a few leaves fall". He says "bite your tongue".  Yeah, I don't think he is ready for Fall and to be quite honest, I'm not either. We are really enjoying our summer. During our Labor Day weekend, my honey as I like to refer to William spent some time doing some repairs to the house, not urgent repairs but things we wanted to fix, like our faucet in the bathroom needed replacing. We had recently had the bathroom redone, and by the way, it looks gorgeous. Back to the sink, yeah we used our old faucet and thought it was time for a new one, so a new went up. I like it, it matches the rest of the hardware in the Continue Reading

Weigh-in #7 ~ Success!!

June 3, 2014 by Emily Leave a Comment

This past weigh-in was a success, but at the same time, I feel it could be a false negative. I say this based on what happened last week if you recall. On Saturday morning, I weighed myself and I weighed 305 lbs, now according to my last weigh-in, I lost 5.7 lbs, which seems like a lot to me. I didn’t do anything significantly different from last week. So I was pretty shocked when I saw 305 lbs. I’m almost scared to weigh in Saturday thinking it’ll be back up to 310, I’m having a hard time really passing into the 200s. But I am not giving up. I’m really happy with what I see going on, to date I have lost 40.6 lbs, and that is a big accomplishment for anyone obese that is trying to lose weight. Yay, go me! Back before I decided to get on a diet and change my lifestyle, I felt I was really hitting rock bottom. I am on the computer a Continue Reading

30 Days of Truth: Day 23 – Something You Wish You Had Done In Your Life

August 23, 2012 by Emily 1 Comment

So here we are again, with another edition of the 30 Days of Truth. I am getting closer to the end. It's day 23, yay! In my last segment of 30 Days of Truth, I shared something I don't share very often, but I am glad I got feedback on it, I do appreciate that very much. It was a terrible thing to happen to me, because it not only affected my life but those around me as well, not to mention the innocent ones. But I have moved on from there, and learned my lesson, the hard way sad to say. I hope it changes just one persons mind about that subject. Let's move on Day 23: Something you wish you had done in your life. I probably wish I did a few things differently, but I think one I do wish I had done, is gone to my High School graduation. I graduated as a mid-term graduate, so while the kids were still in school, I was out of school and Continue Reading

S is for Sin City #AtoZChallenge

April 21, 2012 by Emily 1 Comment

Well so we are on the letter S on this A to Z Challenge, we are really getting towards the end now. I'm not going to miss it lol. Sticking to a theme was hard, I started to find it boring after awhile, I think going random would of been a lot more fun, could of covered many topics :) Even though I love films and TV shows, I still would of gone random, maybe next time if I do it, next year, I'll go random. So my film today is Sin City. This was a really impressive film, IMHO, I liked the fact it still had the comic book feel to the film. Really loved this one. I had bought the film, but left my film collection in England, and my roommate at the time gave away all my films, yeah I know sad hey? I was pretty upset about that as well, as I had a really super great collection. Anyway so what's this film about you ask? Four tales of crime Continue Reading
