Fall Is Upon Us

September 10, 2009 by Emily 1 Comment

I can clearly feel the changes in the weather. This may seem trivial to some, but for me it's something I've been waiting for. I've never lived in the East Coast, always been a West Coast girl. But now I am in Mass, and there is going to be extreme changes for me, starting with weather. When I first arrived, I experienced high humidity, which I was not use to. If I had come a month earlier, I would of enjoyed the rain, but I didn't. If you know me, you know I don't like the humidity, a lot of people probably don't. I know and understand that is something I need to accept and get use to if I plan on being in the East. From my experience, it don't last long, thank goodness :) William has been a true angel, with dealing with me and how the humidity affects me, can we say "grouchy" lol, bless him! He put up with a lot, and in retrospect I Continue Reading

New England Aquarium

September 4, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

Well here they are. When I take pictures, I usually turn out taking pictures of the place I am visiting, opposed to pictures of myself. I don't know why I do that I just do. I'm sure a lot of other people do the same thing. Anyway so we went to the New England Aquarium. It was a big place, so much to see. I loved it though. The seals, sharks, tropical fish. Wow definitely a place everyone should visit. Anyway there were places that it was difficult to take good pictures, the lighting and all, perhaps I need a better camera? Maybe you never know what Santa Clause well bring, but, have I been good? I have loads of pictures, but didn't want to post them all gosh no lol. Thank you William for taking me, and showing me a fabulous time. We seen Quincy Market, but we didn't stay that long as it was getting late, and I seen parts of Boston, Continue Reading

Oh Dear!

Happy September everyone! The days are cooling off yay! Hopefully the days of humidity are over, or have I spoke to soon? Well if I have I'll soon find out :) I know my last post was on the 25th, but I thought about leaving that post up a bit longer, so it's out there. I really liked or should I say Steve's comment made me laugh, he commented about the sound of 'smashed cantaloupe and a broken celery stalk during their crash sequence' interesting how that is the first thing he got out of that video, he did mention that it was 'a little overblown' and you know what Steve, you are right, that is what they wanted, thank you for your comment. I'd also like to thank Vanessa and Al for their comments :) It was a strong video, but we hope that people will actually listen and not be selfish. So I am sure you all heard about the Jaycee Dugard Continue Reading

Texting While Driving

August 25, 2009 by Emily 3 Comments

This morning as we sipped some coffee, we were watching the morning news, and they were talking about texting while driving and how dangerous it can be, I completely agree with that. They provided a commercial that is being shown on youtube at this time, about 4 girls driving down a road, the driver texting, well you can imagine the rest, but watch the video below so you can see what happens. It's so very sad. Keep in mind girls are not the only ones texting and doing other things such as driving and walking down the street. Warning: It is a graphic video. [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ttNgZDZruI 300 250] Did you notice in the video the little girl asking for her parents to wake up, that is sad, but what's even sadder is the shot they move to when you see the baby infant lying there with his eyes not moving. I believe he Continue Reading

Do You Believe?

August 19, 2009 by Emily Leave a Comment

The full question really is, do you believe in ghosts? I think for the past few weeks, I've been watching a lot of ghost/paranormal related type TV shows, I won't say I'm addicted to them because that is a strong word. It's just so very curious, and I can't help not watching them. I really enjoy Ghost Hunters (TAPS), that's a great show, as well as Ghost Hunters International. I've watched both since I was back in England. Speaking of TV shows, I finished watching the first season of Dexter, wow what a season finale, OMGOSH!! I can't wait to start watching season 2. I started writing this like two hours ago, and I got so distracted with other things lol. Why do I do that is beyond me. It's lunch time, and I am hungry, so I am going to do that, and then return and finish this up. Ok so I have been gone a good amount of time, actually Continue Reading
