Happy Fall, everyone! I can't believe it has been 6 months since I last posted. At least I am posting in 2025 still lol. I have been busy. Lately, it feels as if my cats keep me very busy. I am talking about my inside cats, Daisy and Lily. That is not including my outside furbabies. I had about 8 feral cats I was feeding, and loving it. But one by one, they seemed to disappear. I miss them all so much. I may have mentioned this before, as a matter of fact, I did in the last post. I went to look LOL. Lilo, my tortie girl, is still here. I think she adopted us because she has a permanent bed on the deck. In the summer, she would sleep on the deck furniture, and in the winter, she sleeps in a heated house. I am hoping that over time, she will become an inside cat and be added to the family here. The other feral is Mittens, a tuxedo boy. Continue Reading
Fall, Furbabies & Good Weather
Hello. I am still alive :). I have just been super busy. It is fall, but today we are having temp of 80 F it hasn't gotten there yet, so we shall see. My husband's birthday was yesterday, I took him out to dinner and did a little shopping afterward. It is always hard to get him something because he always tells me he doesn't need anything. But I'm glad I told him to let's go to Ollie's, and he saw a fall jacket he wanted so we got that for him, it fits him great, and is using it daily. I don't recall if I talked about Oreo, a sweet, very friendly cat. I just adore him. I must have because he showed up last November. I'll post a picture of him. This sweet boy is Oreo. I just love him. Last week on Tuesday he didn't show up. He always shows up in the morning for breakfast. I got worried that he hadn't been waiting on the deck Continue Reading
I Know It Has Been Months
I am embarrassed for waiting so long to post. I know better than that. I need to change that. Today my cat Lily has a vet appointment. Last night we gave her 1 pill of gabapentin and about 2 hours later she was really out of it. I looked for her in the room where she usually naps/sleeps but she wasn't there. Earlier I blocked the cat door to the basement, so she wouldn't trip going down the stairs. I found her by the water fountain, apparently she needed water, I am guessing she had some. She was laying down just flat on the carpet, not loafing. I thought yeah the medicine must have hit her. So I picked her up. She usually protests when we try to pick her up, by meowing. No meow came out of her. So I gently picked her up and took her to the room. I placed her on a bag of shoes for some reason she wanted to lay on earlier, as it was down Continue Reading
