I know it’s late in the week, and I should have posted over the weekend, and we are almost into the weekend again. But I was not 100% happy with my weigh-in, I gained weight, but I’m not really upset with myself, because I know now what it is I did wrong. Even though I had enough calories for the food I was eating during the week, I overcompensated, thinking that I had enough calories and that should be fine. I was WRONG and perhaps a lot of other people do the same thing and make the same mistake as I did. I learned that even though for instance say I have a lot of calories left at the end of the day for dinner, it does not mean ‘hey I can eat more’, it doesn’t work like that, you can be sure you will gain weight. You need to be strict especially at night, to NOT eat a lot, because you are not moving around as much in the Continue Reading
Weigh-in #2 – Exciting Journey
I'm happy to report that in my weigh-in yesterday, I lost 3.1 pounds in a week since it’s a weekly weigh-in, not sure if I am going to say it like that. Or just how much, we’ll see. So things are going smoothly. Sometimes I feel I’m losing weight slowly, but in retrospect, I think that much weight loss in a week is pretty good. The weekly weight loss varies though, anywhere from no calories lost to 5, the most I’ve lost in one week was 5 lbs, which is a lot, and the least amount I lost was zero, but what makes me happy is I have not gained any weight, yay. I already feel a difference. Especially walking up and down the stairs, was such a hurdle for me before the weight loss and I can’t tell you how happy it has made me feel. I’m still at 1,600 calories a day. Lately, I haven’t been getting 1,600, I’ve averaged from 1,200 to 1,400 Continue Reading
Dieting and Me
So it has been a while since I posted. I have been super busy with some of my other websites, but now that I have that in order *yay* I can start blogging normally. So the last I posted about was the biggest loser, I’m not going to get into that, instead, I am going to briefly talk about my dieting, as the title suggests. In January 2014, I decided to finally fulfill one of my New Years' resolutions, I’m trying to do more than one but a big one that a lot of us have a hard time keeping up with is losing weight. So I dove right in. I found out what my calorie intake should be, it’s 1,660, and I have been doing wonderful. Being that the weather has been so cold, going out and walking was not an option because I have a bad knee and I don’t want to risk walking and slipping and re-injuring my knee, because that will lead to hospital time Continue Reading
I’m Disappointed In Myself
That title sure grabs a person’s interest. What did I do to disappoint myself? Well as mentioned in my previous post, I started dieting. Trying it on my own counting calories. Until you do this, you begin to realize how many calories really are in the food. It’s shocking. 2 oz of spaghetti noodles has about 200 calories, it also can depend on how it’s prepared, that’s cooked spaghetti, anyway 2 oz is not very much, I had about 6 or 7 oz it came out to a lot, let’s put it like that, and then with the other items I went over my daily calorie intake, and it just bummed me out, because I felt I was doing great. I wouldn’t be surprised if I gained a pound, just from that day alone. Needless to say, I’m trying to make up for it. So even though it bummed me out, I carry on, because I need to. Yesterday I went over 9 calories, not too bad, but Continue Reading
Wishing For Warmer Weather
I was going to blog a bit about my disappointment with my dieting, a little drawback that is not going to happen again, more on this visit my other blog here, yeah I'll speak more about it there. All I have to say is I'm not giving up. I won't let it beat me this time. I wish I was this strong years ago. So it's pretty much the end of January, and we'll be going into February, yay! Hoping for warmer weather is on everyones mind. Especially all the states that got hit with that arctic blast not too long ago. I think my year is starting off good. Been on a diet for about a month now, very happy with that, over all that is. I'm interested in getting some hair extensions, at first I wasn't sure, but even though my hair is long, my hair is thinning out more and more, I'm shedding lol. I want more volume in my hair. After I wash it, it's Continue Reading
