Keeping Cool With Humid Weather

July 9, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Romans 12:2

We always get humid weather here, most of Summer is humid, sad to say, but at least it is Summer. We take advantage of the days that are nice enough to sit out on the deck. Today we have the sun coming in and out. But it is about 82 degrees, and the low is expected to be 70 degrees, which is quite warm, which makes me concerned for my ferals outside. They are smart though, they find a cool place and stay there most of the day, and begin to come out when it gets cooler. Or when they are getting really hungry, I wouldn't say starving, because I feed them daily. Today, at about 10 am, my husband fed Sammy, I am glad he came around because he looked a bit skinny and needs to put my fat on his body, he also came around yesterday late afternoon. That was an interesting event. I say this because he would always go under the deck to cool off Continue Reading

Rain In The Summer

July 7, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

We always seem to get rain during the summer. Over the 4th of July weekend, we had a thunderstorm. It was refreshing but loud. I happen to open the front door to get mail, and boom I hear a thunder sound, it was so unbelievably loud. It startled me. The sky got so dark, it was crazy, but like I said refreshing. After that, the mugginess came and stuck around for a bit, until it rained a little bit more. During the week we will have 90's weather, then the coming weekend more rain lol. We didn't get a chance to sit on our deck because of the rain. But now the cushions are out, and when my husband gets home he goes out there for a while sits, and reads. I go out and sit for a little while and pet Pepper. Pepper is a friendly stray that hangs around the house. I spoke about her before. I'll be honest I am growing very fond of her. She Continue Reading

Real Life Gets Really Hectic

June 26, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

Romans 8:28

I don't even know where to begin. So I will just jump in. It has been over a month since I posted any kind of update. I have had so much going on. Between listing stuff for sale and keeping on top of that, writing reviews for products, feeding the cats inside and outside, and my day-to-day things here at home. It has been pretty hectic. So forgive me for not coming to post updates on anything, including my weigh-ins. As for my weigh-ins, I still do them, and I still keep track of them, so that I can come and do an update. Today I decided it has been long enough. I need to continue doing this, and making updates on life as well. This is the only real blog I post most on. I also am on Plurk, where I do updates on daily things, I like to keep track of. That shares to Twitter as well. I post a few things on Instagram but lately, I have Continue Reading

Weigh-in #17 – I’ve Been So Busy!

May 6, 2023 by Emily Leave a Comment

I have literally been so busy, I didn't get a chance to write in my journal this week!! Let alone blog a post. Wow, I need to manage my time better, the older I get the less time I have in a day, what is going on with that? Do you feel that way too? Do tell! Tomorrow I will be weighing in again, so I will post again on Monday. Sunday, April 30, 2023, was a great weigh-in, I lost 3.3 lbs, which is so exciting, I am down to 285 lbs, and little by little it is going down. Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, I hope you all had a nice one. Ours was excellent, we made soft tacos with Mr. Tortilla, multigrain tortillas with 2 net carbs and 35 calories each, and quite delicious, check them out if interested. We used ground turkey and the usual things such as tomatoes, onions, sour cream, romaine lettuce, and shredded mozzarella cheese, and I had 1 Continue Reading

Merry Christmas, See You In 2023

December 23, 2022 by Emily 2 Comments

I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. My husband is off for the next 10 days, and we are going to enjoy each other's company, and try not to get into each other's way, as that can happen sometimes. I try to give him some space, and let him do his thing. Our Christmas has been nice so far. Just last weekend, we went to my in-laws for our annual Christmas luncheon, it was very nice. We had a great time, and I recorded everyone playing the game, that was so much fun. I lost, but my husband won, which was very cool. I think I gained like 15 pounds, and we still are going to my sister-in-law's on Christmas day for our Christmas luncheon. Speaking of gaining weight. One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back on the treadmill, which my husband bought me a couple of years ago. At that time I was on a Continue Reading
