Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015!

Happy New Year

So I have slacked on blogging, definitely one of my New Years resolutions. I have managed to stick to last years New Years resolution, and it will always be part of my life, or should I say, a way of life. I had a wonderful Christmas, with Williams extended family, then Christmas eve with his mom, sister and niece and nephews. Then we spent Christmas Morning, and the whole day just us 3 (William, myself and Daisy), it was really really nice. I am such a lucky person, waited all my life to find true love, and I have in William, bless his heart. So My honey, got me a treadmill, tried it out today, I am going to love using it. I just have to watch out for my little girl, and be sure she don't accidentally get in or on it, gosh that would be horrible. I think the noise frightens her off, which is good. Weigh-in #14 ~ Keep on Trucking

I’m not really post-dating, I did weigh in yesterday morning, and it’s Sunday today, so I am kind of post-dating the date. I usually call it posting about it over the same weekend, so yay! Even though I put yesterday's date, just for my own records, so I don’t get confused. I’ve been doing reasonably well, until Friday, when I goofed up. William texted me and asked if I felt like having a Subway, sandwich and I thought yay great! They have healthy sandwiches. We had a Subway sandwich a few weeks before, he asked me to email him what I’d like, and I am always a stickler for details and getting all the calorie counts. Well I waited until the last minute and I hadn’t done it yet, so I checked my email and copied an old email and sent him it, even though I read it said Teriyaki Chicken and that is yummy and I knew it would be. Weigh-in #6 – I’m Confused!

Well here I am, I weighed in this morning, which I feel is the best time to do it. According to this article, I read online. I have to say I was very disappointed with what I see. I thought back to my week, and though I think I did pretty well, all week I stayed under my 1460 calorie intake, so why did I gain weight? That just didn’t make sense to me. I said oh well, I have to re-evaluate what I am doing, how I am eating, and cut back even more. It was disappointing, I just couldn’t understand. From what the scale said, I gained about 3 lbs, and that is a lot!!! I was mad, sad, discouraged (for about a second), and just confused. I thought okay, no point in crying over it. Moving on. Weigh-in #3 – And The Journey Has Begun

I know it’s late in the week, and I should have posted over the weekend, and we are almost into the weekend again. But I was not 100% happy with my weigh-in, I gained weight, but I’m not really upset with myself, because I know now what it is I did wrong. Even though I had enough calories for the food I was eating during the week, I overcompensated, thinking that I had enough calories and that should be fine. I was WRONG and perhaps a lot of other people do the same thing and make the same mistake as I did. I learned that even though for instance say I have a lot of calories left at the end of the day for dinner, it does not mean ‘hey I can eat more’, it doesn’t work like that, you can be sure you will gain weight. You need to be strict especially at night, to NOT eat a lot, because you are not moving around as much in the Continue Reading

Weigh-in #2 – Exciting Journey

I'm happy to report that in my weigh-in yesterday, I lost 3.1 pounds in a week since it’s a weekly weigh-in, not sure if I am going to say it like that. Or just how much, we’ll see. So things are going smoothly. Sometimes I feel I’m losing weight slowly, but in retrospect, I think that much weight loss in a week is pretty good. The weekly weight loss varies though, anywhere from no calories lost to 5, the most I’ve lost in one week was 5 lbs, which is a lot, and the least amount I lost was zero, but what makes me happy is I have not gained any weight, yay. I already feel a difference. Especially walking up and down the stairs, was such a hurdle for me before the weight loss and I can’t tell you how happy it has made me feel. I’m still at 1,600 calories a day. Lately, I haven’t been getting 1,600, I’ve averaged from 1,200 to 1,400 Continue Reading
