Look around, it sure does seem like it, or at least we are getting there. I have watched the news, read articles, had conversations, and I am tired of it already. I want things to begin to get back to normal. Granted it will never be 'normal' because of this pandemic, things have changed forever. People's lives have been altered, things are so uncertain right now, and probably in the foreseeable future. Honestly, that is not only scary but sad. In my last post I was talking about beaches being open that shouldn't have been open to stop the spread. A month later, they are reopened. I heard on the news that Sweden, has had the same death rate as we have in the USA and they did not lockdown, so why did we? Did it in fact make a difference. Happy Mother’s Day
We are having terrible weather on this Mother's Day, however, that is not taking away from it being Mother's Day. I choose to stay home today, as my honey took his mother to visit his Grandmother. She's been dealing with some heavy stuff these days with the nursing home case, so we have tried our best to support her and keep her company. At her age it must be scary to have to deal with things alone. We were able to find a good nursing home abuse attorney that comes well recommended. They're a friend of a friend, and they're taking good care of us. The old lady doesn't always know exactly what's going on but we try our best to tell her she doesn't need to worry about things too much, and we'll let her know when her input is needed. Birthdays, Shopping, Holidays ~ WOW!!
We not only have the holidays rolling in but birthdays as well. My moms birthday was last week. I didn't feel much like posting about it, I have done it every year whether it be for the day or a day or week after. So here I am again. Missing my mom like crazy. I have missed out on having a mom for a lot of special occasions. But you know what I realized just a few minutes ago. My mom is seriously in a better place. Regardless of what anyone says or thinks or believes. She is in heaven with our father God. And because she is there, she is not here where the world is truly going to shit. I hate even talking about this in the same breath as talking about my mom. But the world is really crazy, and I don't see it let up anytime soon. Hollar & Dollar1 Hauls – Are they worth it?
I like to save money where ever I can, using coupons, buying online, and I do both happily. I have been buying from Dollar1.com and hollar.com for a few months now. I am really happy with my purchases. I have received broken items from Hollar before, and they gladly replace it with no hassle. In my recent purchase from Dollar1.com, I bought some EOS lip balms for $1 each. Now that is a fantastic deal, however, upon opening the sweet mint I detected a stale smell which I was not happy with. I have emailed dollar1.com and hope to have my money returned or the item replaced, I doubt the item will be replaced because they are no longer on the website. As I am sure they get the items before the due date and try to quickly sell them out, which they do.
